If you get the time it is worth going to the cheese markets though. I like the one at Leiden, which is a nice town close to where we stay. Not far from there is the famous cheese market of Woerden and to the North of Amsterdam is the one at Arkmaar, all worth a visit if you are touring the area.

Apologies in advance to those that love Dutch cheese...
like N Holland better but attended Uni at Leiden for a while, never found a Dutch cheese I liked to be honest.

P.S. maybe a typo but its Alkmaar, once removed from the cellar I 'll post a really lovely Brebis Basque cheese I'm saving for the holidays. I prefer Iraty or Kukulu but for 52 euros a great cheese, excuse poor quality phonepix

OK, so we can't play cricket but we know how to make cheese... and invented probably the greatest cheese in the world, imho etc...

I'll wager I was the only person in the whole of Thailand snacking on the only genuine cheddar there is last night.

^ Snubs, it was excellent. Went perfectly with Mont Clair as well!

^^ Armstrong, you want to get someone with small hands to hold your crackers... that makes everything look bigger!

Nice! I was waiting for you to post that one here and was hoping it would live up to its name.

Pretty cool packaging but a major let down in taste. Le Bon Brie is far superior.
