    Is Curry popular in America?

It's a national dish in the UK.
It stems back to our time in colonial India.

Is that why Korean and Vietnamese food is popular stateside.

Anyway as a post script, yesterday I was going to make sticky toffee puddings for dessert, though everyone was too full after the curries, so they were left to make today.<br>

Covered with pecan toffee sauce ready to go under the grill for 5 minutes.

A good injection of cold pouring cream and ready to go.

    ^^Wow, those look amazing, PAG!

I love curry too..the best curry I ever had was when I visited Sri Lanka. They put some sort of fruit in their curries. I also ate a lot of curry when I lived in Korea. They have curry you can buy in a box and just add it to rice. The Korean curry is delicious and you can get it in mild, medium or hot.
I also love yellow and Massaman curry, when I visited Thailand that is what I ate the most! I don't make curry much though and miss it!

I recently stayed at The Mermaid Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 29. This has become my hotel of choice when staying in Bangkok.

There is a Chinese takeaway operating from the kitchens which service the hotel but are mainly delivering by Grab and Food Panda and the likes.

Anyway, the other night I had the Chinese chicken curry with chips and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. It was easily enough for two people but I just couldn't stop eating. It had peas as well!

I tried a couple of other dishes as well, but in just two days there was a limit to what I could eat. I also had to have a larb moo as well.

If you live in the neighbourhood and like Western Chinese food I would strongly recommend giving these guys a try.

    Wok Star Express

Workstar Express – Western Style Chinese Kung Food delivery serving up authentic taste with nostalgic flavours from the UK. USA. and Australia

How on earth did those four peas sneak onto your plate Mendip?

99pence, 5 minutes in the microwave.

    An inedible chicken tikka masala..

You just know he's going to stir in the Chicken Ding Masala or puree it as a sauce on top of the chops as they bake. He must be on a new shift coz this is Friday fare.

I'm sure there's many a curry connoisseur around the globe that would be horrified to hear of pork curry.
But here at Chez Chitmiester, we dare to be different .

Top tip - Sell by date is not the same as use by date.

Chopping the onions and garlic is my least favourite part of the process.

I'm getting quite excited about what the finished product will taste like!

I buy pork shoulder joints for curries - good value and enough fat - just peel the skin off
