    Aldi's finest, 8 for 89p.

How dare you suggest I would use a Sharwoods paste!!!!!

Spices , spices and more spices.

    The anticipation is too much.

Every curry is different, almost like a work of art

How many more threads are going to post this same disaster on? So far, dinner thread, slow cooking thread and curry thread. I reckon drunk cooking thread, breakfast thread, daily moan thread, what are you drinking thread and possibly start a what did your dog refuse to eat thread are all strong contenders.

Cheers mate and the combination, using the home-made spring rolls as a dip, was delicious.

This dish will certainly be on the menu when we final open.

Rusholme- years since I've been down there.

That place on the left of the first pic - Camel One - was my local for kebabs when I was at college nearby. Saajan was the other.

    Sangam for curries.

Shame to hear it's gone dowhill on the Ruby front.

Yep Rusholme for about 1 hour wandering around trying to find a decent Ruby and gave up. Never going back its Syrian central now just kebabs and falafel the place is shite. Not been in 20 years and won't be back. A couple of us in Manc for two days helping some thick designers with ideas, I'm sure life was simpler before Cad and kids playing with it.

Check out the Pakistani/Bangladeshi cafes near Tib Street in town (Thomas Street) for lunch. Kabana and Al Faisal are my favourites.

I'm at the University museum tomorrow just down the road if you're about for a coffee.

You sure you're not getting confused with Tit Street in Cairo Old town?

Hey Hal do you remember that single house on a large waste ground at the bottom of Piccadilly train station before it was demolished and and Manchester joined the space age.
The best curry house in town.
They even had a curry that was so hot, if you ate it then there was no charge.

Great and very handy for all the piss heads catching the late trains back to Stoke

    Tbf Mike

All the best curry restaurants are in the leafy suburbs nowadays.

The curry scene is shite. I was shocked. There's loads of "Indian street food restaurants " looking at them they are just massively overpriced and not authentic. Then the curry places all have menus which try to describe the dishes as if you are in a 1 star Michelin place

. I just want a real madras in flocked wall paper surroundings with fresh cooked meat, many pre-cook the meat and just heat it through in the sauce. We gave a up found a place near picadilly but got a up and paid after eating about a 1/4 of it. Let them know what we thought of the crappie they served for £45 for 2.

Last time in Manc a similar story with Chinese, over priced and poor food. Won't be back if I can help it.
