I speak & Read some Thai, but cannot write, sorry.

My Thai wife & I have been Vegan for 14 years.

Any questions on veganism - mostly we can answer.

I Live near Lamphun, ChiangMai is a Vegan Meca, over 300 Vegan restaurants (เจ)

If you live up this way Li ลี้ is a vegan village https://www.happycow.net/blog/veg-village-thailand/

    Beautiful very old temple there:

{SNIP}Ban Phra Baht Huay Tom’s vegetarian history is fairly recent. Karen families arrived in this area in 1971 from another part of Thailand and some more have moved there since. Luang Pu Khruba Wong, an itinerant Buddhist monk who walked to visit Karen villages across northern Thailand, relayed that “If we hurt animals, then the animals will hurt us, followed with illnesses. If we eat vegetarian foods, we will not be hurting anyone.” The Karen townsfolk promised their beloved monk that they would be vegetarian, continuing to do so after his death and raising their children vegetarian, as well.{END} https://www.happycow.net/blog/veg-village-thailand/

Sadly you will get the "brain dead" jump out of the woodwork, thinking (as they do) that their "vegan" jokes are funny. They're Not!!!

How do you know someone is a Vegan? - Don't worry, they'll tell you.

It's impossible to ever make an amusing comment about vegans?

Thinking otherwise suggests someone is [sic.] "brain dead".

    OK, then.

    Thanks for clarifying.

I've never heard any vegan jokes. Which ones should I know? Which are the best ones? (I know someone who's vegan. I'll try them out on him.)

    TIA

My son is taking part in a social experiment where he has to wear a t-shirt saying "GO VEGAN" for 2 weeks to see how people react.
So far, he has been punched, spit on and a bottle thrown at him!

I'm curious to see what happens when he goes outside.
