Further refinement of the complex logistics of the perfect fry-up tonight
Cook the hash browns from frozen and stack them to keep warm while the most delicate operation -the spooning of the eggs - is performed.
I noticed hash browns featuring in Mendip's classic cockney caff fry-up. Good to see the British fry up is not above absorbing foreign influences when they are well deserving of absorption.
Plate up and garnish with freshly microwaved spicy rich Watties - possibly my favourite baked bean at the moment.
Baked beans were always British in the context of fry-ups and do not constitute foreign merkin influence).
I love my eggs, but three? That’s hard core.
It's also missing black pudding but I was too polite to say
Instead of those American Hash browns, try fried bread for a proper HW fry up.
Don't get used to it though, it'll put you in an early grave.

1st fry-up in over 3 months I reckon
Watties beans the piece-of-resistance
Due to my svelte figure I usually give McDonald's a swerve but yesterday I indulged in the Mecca's big brekkie consisting of a bun ,burger patties and fried egg with a hash brown in there as well, and brown sauce. Wasn't to bad

1st fry-up of 2024
Stack up the hash browns to make way for the eggs
Who could have dreamed that the humble British kitchen would be the birthplace of the greatest dish in the history of cullinary concoctions
Can I just go straight to the grapefruit?
I have not seen a double-yolker in over 20 years I think.
I had forgotten that they existed until I cracked eyes on this bewt. Although I am not a prodigious egg consumer, averaging maybe a dozen or 1.5 dozen per month.
I thought I was getting a yolk bonus (my favourite part of the egg) but the yolks are smaller than the single yolk; possibly even smaller than half the size. They looked like identical twins to my untrained eye.
Another eggs-tremely strange frying pan occurrence when the whites joined to form a Siamese egg balloon
