    PAG's Banana Bread

Have always enjoyed banana bread, especially with a coffee in the afternoon, though had never actually made one. Put that to rights today, simple to make, used honey instead of sugar which has resulted in a darker than usual colour. Pleased with the result, moist and not too sweet.

I think once you've got the basic ingredients, there's a whole host of add ons you could come up with. Rum sounds good, as does some chopped roast walnuts or pecans, and maybe some raisins.

This morning made something similar, a gingerbread loaf cake. M'Sahib had never had this before, and was well impressed.

PAG has loads of these great threads in the kitchen thread. He seems to be away from the forum. Hope all is well.

Your Banana bread looks great. I make it all the time.
Walnuts and plenty of raisins are a must!!Aside from the taste the walnuts give it texture and the raisins a sweet little surprise in every bite. I would not dream making it without them. Try it and you will know what I mean.
At the spice section in Macro they have good deals on both the walnuts and raisins.

PS: last time I made it , I forgot to put in the baking powder. It was still delicious but I could use it for bricks to build that garden shen I've been meaning to build . LOL
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
