He'd love Stumpy to spray his beans all over him.

Remember how exited he got about the chili beans

Hey they make potato launchers, must be a bean sprayer out there somewhere.

And that chili bean potato was delish, that covers my bean intake for a few years although I have to admit I do miss a nice Frijoles Charros dish.

Do one up every couple of months. A buddy is arriving in a month and he will bring me a nice stock of dried Mexican chilies.

Nice AO. Always nice to have friends bring over things you simply can't find here. I will be back in California early next year for my youngest daughters wedding and I will definitely be catching up on my Mexican food.

^^ That does look tasty Dirk but I'm surprised you use Ayam beans. I always grate cheese on top of the beans, I've never seen beans go on top of the grated cheese before. Is that a Scottish thing?

My lunch today... corned beef hash with spc beans.

Ayam is all they have in Tes... Lotus's's's's's here, but we are only really interested in small cans as they are single portion size for serving with pies, sausage rolls etc.

I always put the beans on top of the cheese for rapid melting benefits, same with chips, cheese, beans and gravy. Absolutely must be applied in that order.

My staff had a proper spaz the other week. I called them from our other bar and ordered "chips, cheese, beans and grave - in that order'. What I got was chips, minced pork, kidney beans and cheese, in that order. The mind boggles.

I think one of the biggest differences between Yanks and those from the UK is what we eat. Especially for "comfort foods". No other comments necessary as its what we like and what makes us feel good.

If I was in America I would eat out like an American. Cooking at home usually follows your roots but living in other countries you just have to adapt, give everything a go and find out what you don't like.

I'm pretty versatile when it comes to food, but we all have our limits.

Bit late for lunch today and this looked quick so here it is. Thanks for the suggestion.
The bread is home made, just not my home. 555
Others here are a bit sniffy about Ayam but they have the one advantage of being available in half-tin size. That was just right for lunch today.
