Fantastic news, and an exclusive for TeakDoor!

The great Korat baked bean famine of 2022-2023 is finally over. The wife went to Makro today and brought back four 3-packs of Brook baked beans!

But did I get baked beans for lunch? Did I bollox.

You need to take a leaf out of Diggler's book and stop being such a Beta Cuck.

I'll leave Eddy to turn that into a Limerick

The wife went to Makro, what a treat!
She brought back three packs, can't be beat!
    But for lunch, no beans
    Just sadness, it seems.
Oh, the husband, his hopes have been fleeced!

No more crisis for British cuisine,
The wife bought twelve tins of beans,
    What a great lass
Now I can pump out the gas
If she was on TD, I'd give her a Green!

There was an old man on TD,
His wife popped out to buy a packet of 3,
He got naked on the bed
    With his throbbing head
...but all she bought back were Brooks beans

There was a man from Aberdeen,
Who ate all of the Chili beans,
    His sphincter eroded,
    His arsehole exploded,
And wrote off his new Levi Jeans.

    Chatgpt says

Ahoy there Bogon the Bard! May your verses and songs forever fill the hearts of many and leave a lasting impression on the world.

May your words paint pictures more vivid than the greatest masterpieces, and may your melodies resonate with the souls of all who hear them. May you be the chronicler of adventure and heroics, the weaver of love and laughter, and the singer of truth and justice. May your name be remembered for generations to come as one of the greatest bards to have ever lived!

Not sure if it's The Economist that features "The Big Mac" index. Perhaps there should be a Baked Bean Index.

With the current shortages, beans are becoming an expensive high end item and Michelin starred restaurants are cashing in.

Chatgpt is mental, just tried for the first time, said I need a poem about Dirk Diggler and his baked beans:

Dirk Diggler and his baked beans,
A tale of fame and what it means.
He had a heart of gold,
And his beans were worth their weight in bold.

With every spoonful, he'd take a bite,
And savor the flavor with all his might.
For he knew that these beans were his pride,
A source of comfort, never to be denied.

And so, he rose to stardom's height,
With his beans by his side, day and night.
From the silver screen to the talk show stage,
He wowed audiences with his signature dish, ready to engage.

But as all fame must eventually fade,
Dirk still had his beans, his true parade.
For they brought him solace in trying times,
A reminder of home and the simple life, always divine.

So let us raise a spoon, in salute,
To Dirk Diggler and his beloved baked beans, absolute.
For they remind us of the beauty in simplicity,
And the power of a dish to bring joy, and true prosperity.
    Lang may yer lum reek...
