I want to try one as well, though perhaps the mental image of the grease clogging my arteries will inhibit my ability to enjoy it.

^ you can get beyond meat in a lot of places in BKK, Veganerie have a beyond burger on their menu and you can buy it frozen in Villa Market (for examples)
Burger King sells a Beyond Meat burger here in the States. The meatless Whopper tastes exactly like a Whopper. I can’t tell the difference. Costs about the same as a regular burger and has no fewer calories. The only advantage I see is no cholesterol.
Burger King here in the US had a "beyond Meat " Burger which got me thinking that the beef patties in their burgers was probably the healthiest part of the whole thing and they went and replaced it.
Aside from the philosophical reason for not eating meat, I am not sure a vegetable concoction consisting of binders ,food coloring , flavor and texture enhancing agents is better that beef.

I had a butter chicken, from out of a supermarket freezer last week- microwave job. Or so I thought, until I tasted it. It was 'vegan chicken'. No, didn't really taste like chicken- I knew instantly, but it was OK. Kinda like butter tofu really- which figures, because that is really what it was..
So why the need for the misleading labelling? I am no vegan, or vego, but I have no problem with meat free meals if they taste OK, and I certainly believe there are health benefits too.
Another example is a veggie burger- why bother with this pap meant to look and taste like a mince patty (it doesn't, at least what few I've tried), when you can make quite a delicious veg burger with haloumi cheese and a portobello mushroom cap, and not need to pretend it is something it isnt?
Don't worry Chico I'm sure the process of cooking one of these 'Beyond Meat'-type burgers is the same as a normal meat one.Originally Posted by Chico

The mental midget got a job in Khartoum and is busy packing his winter-clothes.
This is what I don't het either, but it certainly isn't aimed at the vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian market who have their reasons for not eating meat and don't need a look-alike product
