Quite probably. Maybe you could give it a try and report back?
I'd do it myself but that level of excitement once a year is quite sufficient in Isan.

^ You see Shutree, things ain't that bad in Isaan... you've just got to make your own fun.
The wife's roasting a piece of pork in the convection oven later, and if she's using foil I'll maybe discreetly dislodge it a bit and see what happens.
Pork, according to the wife...
Unrelated to this post, and Mendy.
Was it Blackgang or Stroller that cooked up and ate their pet dog on here after it died? Pics from preparation to dining table included.
Which caused, what could only be described as, a mighty big brouhaha within the TD community.
And to think AO gets all misty eyed over the old days :)
Or at the post production party of Jurassic Park. :)
It was Stroller, I do not think Bg would have eaten a dog, especially not his own.
:smileylaughing:
For reference, what a proper pork rib should look like. Sorry, I took a bite out of the first one...

^ That's one way of doing it, I guess.
OTTO still works just fine but now do ribs in this.

When I do ribs in the oven...
1. thaw the day before and season so the seasonings and penetrate the meat...slowly slowly catches the monkey...or buffalo. This also helps tenderize the meat.
2. Preheat the oven to about 150C. While the oven is heating up, wrap the ribs in foil that is watertight as much as possible. This will help the ribs stay as moist as a ...well, you understand. Low and slow, time doesn't matter.
3. While the ribs are baking, get some BBQ sauce ready. After a couple of hours, pull the pack of ribs out and free them from their bindings, letting them ejacutate their juices all over the tray.
4. Cover the ribs in your BBQ sauce of choice. I generally put on a thin coat and then put them under the broiler until I see the sauce starting to carmelize.
Meanwhile have a bowl of bbq sauce that you've mixed the grease drippings in when you pulled them out earlier.
5. Pull them out of the oven and enjoy. I like having cole slaw or potato salad as a side dish to balance the BBQ.
