I've enjoyed quite a few Sai Grog over the years walking back home around 3 am when Ray and Nok had a bar on Soi 22.
But i was a bit wobbly and the world was spinning around and around at the time. But every now and then i buy 20 bahts worth to see if they taste any better sober occasionally i manage to find some that havent been filled with sawdust, but alas not very often.
There are to many sequacious posters on this thread im going to keep up the quest for the perfect Sai Grog.
Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!

The Isaan sausage in red packs from BIG C is pretty good.

450 views and only forty replies. I can only imagine the disappointment all those viewers must have felt after reading the title "Isaan Sausage " only to discover that it was not gay porn.

Yes indeed. What do you have against walking?
A pedestrian imagination is good exercise .

Nothing worse then English sausages or food.
The American War of Independence was not against the Kingdom of Great Britain but getting rid English food. What better motivations could one possibly have for winning a war? Dumping their Tea was just the beginning.

Had some Isaan sausage last night - excellent it were. It had a bit of chili. mmmm hmmm.

The first time I had Isaan sausage it was a surprise, and new things to eat don't surprise me much these days.
Tangy, with a different texture and mouth feel that was unlike other snags.

Lascivious minds could read much into the above but I'm talking about food.

The real action didn't start until they started yanking their sausage.

My wife makes these Sai Oua about every 3 months. She just made these on Friday and take up a good part of day to make. She then vacuum seals the rest and freezes them. We pull them out when we want and toss'em on the grill to heat them up.

I have had the ones that Jack posted and they are usually pretty nasty. My wife won't eat them. She says they have way too much pork fat and the sour pork is usually very old and you just never know.

That's a few minor perks given out to cattle class souls to make them feel like they are flying business class, even though they are not.

If you routinely fly business you don't need an executive class membership.

They give them out free with credit cards in Indonesia.

The original at the top of the soi [technically not even on 22] where there was a nice muu daeng stall right outside the door, or the later bar with the pool table down the lower bowels of the soi?

I found the Isaan sausages to be pretty good. In fact, it is one of the few local foods I will eat. We buy them from a stall in a village just north of Wanonniwaht. These are liked by the locals because they are not too greasy and have a great spicy flavour.

Never tasted any sold in the shops. Wife used to make and sell them locally when we were in the UK.

I agree! It all depends on the quality.

American food has developed over the years.
Can't say that about the English grub.
English food is as tasteless as Neverna posts

    And German food?

What interesting developments have there been in pigs knuckles and bratwurst over the last century?
