Fucking snobs. Carry on, cujo. Drink that homemade plonk with pride. No need to pour that sulfite laden store bought stuff down your neck.

And another thing - wine only from grapes? Fucking reductionists. You could bloody well make a jalapeņo wine if you were so inclined. Why, I had a gorgeous few glasses of wine made from hibiscus and roses just last week.

Distilling is more than a bit more technical. Homemade wine takes no special equipment, about five minutes effort, and a month's wait.

Apple sider and apple wine are two different things as far as i know. I think it is the alcohol content. Any wine, if you like it, is good IMO.
As to all of those negative toward Cujo's wine making endeavor, I bet the wine Cujo made is better than any of the wine you all ever made, so stop your whining .

Nah, fair play to cujo. All you need for wine is a sugar source, so pretty much anything is good to go.

My dad was into home brew wine. Some hits, some misses. Big thing is keeping everything sterile. Cujos first batch that was bubbly was because fermentation was not finished. Good hobby, but again, nah to that first batch dawg.

But more power to you. It is easy to slam when you dont do nothing.

by the way, I googled whats the difference between apple wine and cider.

Apple cider—hard apple cider, that is—is made by crushing apples and fermenting the juice. ... Apple wine isn't radically different. It's essentially the same process, but requires more sugar.

you need more than sugar to make wine, there is some other chemical involved, above all for white wine, since it is extracted from the same grapes as red wines

^ They normally add sulfite at the start of the fermentation process, but thats to do more with stopping the wine going bad.

it's a little bit more than that, it's also how they make white wine, they stop the full fermentation before it turns red

There we have it ladies and gentlemen. Definitive proof that dragonfly is not French, because that is an utter load of horseshit.

    Here you go:

The main difference between white and red wine has to do with the color of the grapes used. It also has to do with whether the grape juice is fermented with or without the grape skin.

To make white wine, grapes are pressed and skins, seeds and stems are removed before fermentation.

However, to make red wine, the crushed red grapes are transferred to vats directly and they ferment with the skin, seeds and stems. The grape skins lend the wine its pigment, as well as many of the distinctive health compounds found in red wine.

"Read wine headache" comes from ingredients in the grapes skin and those who suffers from it can usually drink white wine without getting headache.
I've never heard about "White wine headache"

That's it. The yeast eats the sugars and expels carbon dioxide and ethanol.

I dunno. I am torn at the moment. Nobody can be that ill informed about so many, many, many subjects. I am starting to wonder if it is some perverse long troll.

It's amazing how little buttplug knows about anything, despite being very free with the vague facts and notions and acting like he's more than a halfwit.

and yet, in your usual idiotic self, there is 2 contradiction in that sentence. The grapes are the same, removing the skin doesn't make the grapes "different"

there is also another chemical process to keep white wine,

and FFS, there is no one way to make wine in France and everywhere else, they all have their little secrets for taste and colors, so you making a general and generic statement on the grape colors is just demonstrating once more your usual TEFLER idiotic line of thinking
