The mechanics of it work like this:

Friend on phone: Hey come over for a steak tomorrow.
Friend on other end of phone: Sounds good, what time?

Friend on phone: Hey come over for a salad tomorrow.
Friend on other end of phone: Fuck off.

Friend on phone: Hey come over for a steak and salad tomorrow.
Friend on other end of phone: What sort of steak have you got?

I would not want to grow bored of oysters or steaks. He could add lobster for variation. Here's a first world problem, thanks to COVID-19 I won't be able to eat any lobster this summer.

Vince Gironda popularized this in the 60-70 body building circles, he was a butt pirate though

althugh it ws similar to a Victorian drinking diet

    seems history repeats itself

You mean 300 vegan doctors want the British public to try going vegan for the month of May.

"More than 300 members of the Plant-Based Health Professionals UK—an organization that promotes plant-based diets for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases—are backing the “No Meat May” campaign.
