    I wouldn't.

Chicken feet taste good. They just need to be done properly.

Plenty of 'foot' talk here, I see. You guys have a problem.

Today I discovered why the wife was so keen to help me with my mango chutney... she wanted her pestle and mortar to make yet another batch of 'blow yer head off' chilli dipping sauce. It's almost a daily ritual in this house.

Today it was to go with boiled pig's tongue. One of my favourite simple lunches. With a mango for dessert, of course!

Is that only 9 or 10 chillis?

    Just the job.

Although as usual the chilli sauce was way too hot for me. Even a smidgen has me reaching for the water.

    Money shot...

    Fantastic stuff, Mendip.

I can't think of anyone who does dipping sauces better than the Thais (apart from that stinky grey-looking one that they dip raw vegetables into).

Fried sliced rib-eye, the last slice of plastic cheese, garlic mayo and a home baked sub, from the freezer.

Rib-eye caveman style, no time to fuck around with sides in between Sunday afternoon tv sports besides a splash of BBQ sauce.

Having scoffed a whopper for breakfast then flying to BKK I decided to try Taco Bell for the first time in my life.

Being a TB n00b I just said, gimme that combo, and took a seat.

    Meal arrived.

    Lunch ... the second course-1ab939f4-4ff2-46ad-8242-2f8d611e438c-jpg

Soft shell chicken tacos with paprika fries and I helped myself to a Minute Maid Orange, no ice.

Tacos were pretty good, fries were decent, juice was a bit sweet.

Then, just after I scoffed the first taco, they are shouting out NUMBER 9 and staring at me.

Well shit, I’m chomping into number 6 cos my receipt was upside down. Oops.

I was relieved of my fare and it was replaced with my actual order.

    Lunch ... the second course-a5b13f9e-688e-4fc8-8927-3810337f6633-jpg

Hard shell beef tacos and tortilla chips.

Now, the American dude who’s order I’d nabbed certainly knew what he was doing, cos my choice was shit.

Beef was minimal and seemed like it had been minced in a blender. Chips were tasteless.

So I walked out of there quite chuffed with myself.

Lidl Melton Mowbray pork pie(not the best), Pickled onions, Tuna and mayo panini(missed a trick by not making it a melt) coronation coleslaw and a blueberry cheesecake.

    Glad you asked now?

^ Would have been better with some mango chutney!

Lunch for me was larb moo. If I was told I could only eat two meals for the rest of my life, I would pick larb moo for lunch and steak and kidney pie with mashed potato, carrots and peas for tea. I reckon that would have everything covered although I'm sure I'd miss fish and chips after a few months.

    Money...

It's called the Taxidermist approach, which means stuffing birds before you mount them.

I've never heard that one before, it gave me a chuckle.
