This was my Easter dinner
Mr Brains Faggots and peas.
It was fuckin rank
^ works canteen not up to much?
^Pity, it'd at least put something tasty on your Easter dinner plate
Who'd have thought some big Aussie could make dinner sound gayer than a plate of faggots
^I've never eaten faggots, do you buy them a beer first?
^ Heineken 0.0
Nev mentioned them the other week. They are not as good as I remember. I reckon Mendy would enjoy them. Full of offal and sawdust I think.
^With the word offal, I'll pass. The sawdust part sounds like it'd give them body though.
^ Just needed some cheese on that spinach
Sorry Jeff, maggi, sugar and chili flakes it is then
i must admit there are times when I'd prefer a Greggs sausage and bean cheese melt, but this stuff I get fed must be healthier?
It wasn't all offal... I never used to like the square blood cubes but I can eat them now if I think about something else.

Its balanced, i'm seeing Liver, Heart, Intestine and Ear as well as your blood.
^^ I didn't realise those were ears...
If I was to leave Isaan forever there's many tastes and smells I'd be quite glad to see the back of, but not larb moo... I love the stuff.
I decided to risk another one today but I was in charge of the chilli and I had a toilet roll handy... just in case.
We're in the process of running down the frozen and close to out-of-date provisions here so centre stage today for lunch was an almost out of date smoked chicken breasts from Makro and three large but old potatoes. Decided I had enough other stuff for a good old fashioned potato bake. So peeled and chopped the potatoes into 2cm cubes, same with the chicken breasts and added both to a baking dish. Added some frozen vegetables, a couple of rough chopped onions and six large garlic cloves. Raided the spice box for salt and ground chili/cumin/black pepper. Added 250ml of cooking cream and gave it all a good stir. Then a sh#t load of grated mozzerella and bread crumbs. Added several knobs of garlic butter. Baked uncovered in the oven at 180 Celsius for 40 minutes. (In hindsight thinking next time a foil cover for same time at 160 then ten more minutes uncovered.) Wife and I enjoyed it, enough for breakfast tomorrow as well.
Ketchup on a dish that looked so good after baking..
Fish n chips. Happy to see mushy peas added. Then realised, it wasn’t mushy peas, it was sliced peas, beans and onion.
.
Sliced peas?
Looks more like they were squashed.
