Just as well. I'd struggle to find the words for that.

I must say I'm surprised at the reaction to my lunch yesterday.

I post up 'gordon blue' salmon with home-made ratatouille for dinner and it get's barely a response yet my lunchtime carbonara gets a whole page full of comments, and I can see that they're not all complimentary as well.

I've still got quite a bit of leftover carbonara to work through but I think I'll keep today's lunch to myself!

    I'll try one last time...

I thought that my home made ratatouille could rescue pretty much any meal but this lunch just didn't 'gel'. I think that my dinners are more successful than my lunches.

At least I only have one more portion of carbonara left now.

Have you ever been stuck in one of those hotels where groups of rural Chinese on their first overseas travel encounter a serve-yourself buffet?

Home made pumpkin soup with coconut cream and soldiers. A favourite at HWHQ.

Shutree clearly not as the plate would be stacked 12 inches high with another plate on top to for structural integrity to hold the additional 12 inches of food.

My wife marinated some beef and made me a wonderful steak sandwich on ciabatta.

Mayo, mustard, edam cheese and of course, pickled jalapenos....

Lunch ... the second course-sandwich1-jpg Lunch ... the second course-sandwich2-jpg

Pretty damn tasty, if I say so myself.

Kids over tomorrow, well two of them.

3 Kgs Goose fat Roast Potatoes, a bit of Lamb, Carrots, Peas, Spinach, Brocolli, Saurkraut (just finished), with damson (one of my sisters in Worcester) and mint gravy.

    Happy Easter one and all.

I did roast Lamb for lunch today too with garlic mash, spinach-cheese, and minted gravy.

Me neither. Too much for my taste.

    Lamb looks great though.

HW tends to like his meat somewhat redder than I do...but that looks perfect.

^^Nah its from Macro, and also cost roughly the equivalent of sick squid a key.

Is there any reason we never see British Lamb for sale anywhere outside Britain? I've eaten Lamb over there (of unknown origin) and it was always good, would happily try some if it was in supermarkets here just to compare it with NZ and Oz product.

Yes, bought it a bit early. Can someone explain wet ageing to Dill

Apologies but unfortunately with the family around it slipped my mind, was hectic, but the extra 2 days ageing was excellent. I did forget the peas.

A third of British Lamb is exported to Europe
The French are always burning truckloads of them

I'd imagine it'd be like buying US instead of Aussie steak in Thailand.

Did it rise again like Christ on Easter Sunday?
