This really is a dinner spread but was ordered and eaten before noon. So, it is a lunch – albeit a fairly elaborate repast for a lunch.

Sum Tum, Tom Yum Goong, Fish, Tod Man Pla, Shrimp Rolls, Dried Beef and Vegetables over rice

    Lunch

Life really getting back to normality. Good lunch today with a few friends. Lamb chops were the order of the day for most, and one of my buddies had brought along some Stilton, Port, and Carr's biscuits for later. Contentment.

First lunch for a few months at the Korean restaurant near us, though we've had a few take aways during that time. It's within walking distance, though of course we never do at it's too hot.

I went for some grilled marinated pork on a sizzling plate, which came with a stew of some kind with vegetables, tofu, and some clam like shellfish.

The usual array of small side dishes that are free with every main course.

M'Sahib had had a large late breakfast so didn't eat, just having a caramel latte and a fresh passion fruit drink. A couple of San Mig Lights for me, with the check bin coming to just over 600 baht. Remarkable value for the quality of food, service and ambience of the place.

    ^ Wow!

Larb moo again today... I love the stuff and am gradually working through all the local vendors.

This was the best yet. To be honest I prefer plain steamed rice to the keo neow, but it was easier to just take what I was given.

Try to get a word in edgewise with PAG and his mouth-watering delicacies . . .

Yes, a good Turkish Delight, not too sweet, compliments the coffee so nicely

I was sat in my office 'doing work' when the wife walked in and plonked this down next to me. I guess I should at least be thankful I wasn't on Pornhub... maybe the gardener's warned her?

This is entirely my fault. She's made me this before... and anything for an easy life... I said it's really nice. So I get it again... what can ya do?

There's little plastic squares you add lettuce, some pointy green leaves, sliced sausage, chopped unripe mango, chopped green banana, cucumber, garlic and chives, and then cover with some kind of hot sauce.

To be honest it doesn't taste too bad... but it's just so fiddly and messy and such hard work that any enjoyment has gone for me. And now I've got a sticky keyboard.

What I'd give for a pie and chips!

Edit: ^ Simultaneous posts! HW... you can have my rolls!

FFS Mendip, I've got lettuce in the fridge and could have used that as you have to roll everything into!

So this whole naughty secretary bringing you lunch thing you've got going, we're onto you

^ My OCD has gone into overdrive.

The 8 on your day calendar is upside down.

...oh, and we all know you just wanted us to ask how you won the trophy in the background.

^ Sorry about setting the old OCD off... the 8 shouldn't have even been showing.

I only have one job each day at the moment but have failed at that... hadn't set the calendar since 18th April!

Thanks for pointing that out mate!

Decided on a sammich for lunch today with the last of the pastrami. The good bread was long gone so made do with regular white bread. Toasted in the cast iron skillet with a slice of Swiss and a slice of Muenster.

Hit the spot...after a few bites.

Finished lunch off with a small container of yogurt.
