Hahahaha . . . sorry.

The top one is similar to a moussaka and the other is lamb with rice cooked in a bell pepper/capsicum

Currently in an anxious state. The wife is waiting for a courier delivery of books that were not delivered yesterday because we were out. If they come by midday we are off to try an interesting looking new Thai restaurant. If not, I get to order a large double cheese, ham and mushroom pizza for delivery. I want the pizza.

Popped in for a pizza with me daughter on the way back from another vet visit today.

I was so excited about the rare chance to eat something other than the rubbish I cook that I completely forgot my duties until one slice was already eaten.



The daughter was just as quickly into hers...



And Coco... who's gone from nearly starving on the streets to fine dining in Swiss restaurants, in the space of six weeks!

She'll be getting elocution lessons next.

Maybe I missed it but how is Dan?

And pizza it was. Although the wife fcuked up and only ordered the medium size. Sigh!

What to do for lunch...no sister here. On my own.

Had some deli sliced Swiss, Gorgonzola, parmigiano reggiano and sourdough bread.



But first I have to re-season my cast iron skillet. Someone decided it was just easier to chuck it in the dishwasher.



There we go...much better.



So lets do a grilled three cheese on sourdough sandwich. Almost done.



On the plate with some sliced fresh tomato and some sweet gherkins.

Damnit! Just remembered after I was done, was going to add this to the sandwich. Oh well, maybe next time...

Nice SKkin, don't confuse Mendip the cast iron virgin - to clarify: its oil meat and cook, tuther way around for other stuff

I've just popped down for a sammich. Not as nice as that though

^Thanks. Probably the best cheese sammich I've ever made for myself. Don't usually have that quality of cheese and bread on hand.

I need to be able to demand food with menaces, is there a button for that on here?

I don't know about that but I found a button on that mail order site that's going to get me in trouble. I'm eyeing their pastrami and pumpernickel now...

And so, life returns to a semblance of normality. I'm not a 'bar' person per se, just frequent restaurants that have a bar type atmosphere. Within the area I live, the Phuket Yacht Club is what I'd describe as my 'local'. Decent bar, good food, and a view which is hard to beat. Today, with the national relaxation, the restaurant is serving alcohol again. The stools have been removed from the bar for 'social distancing', but plenty of tables to accommodate people.

Nice to have one of my favourites, grilled snapper on a potato cake with a spinach and cream sauce, but first a pre lunch beer.







For M'Sahib, nothing exotic, just a Pad Thai with the obligatory som tam on the side.





To ensure a pleasant nap when I get home, a large cognac and a double espresso.
