Other than that... Yeah, I would.

You're looking a bit pale there. Where in the UK are you?

Doesn't really qualify for either - butty or sand.

Why don't we refer to it as something else.

I did think about the cheese. Wasn't sure it would go with the mint sauce

Although cheese has to be right up there with bacon as a foodstuff that improves almost any meal.

^ I love kippers and I love quiche... but never thought of combining the two. I may give this a try!

The closest I've ever come to that is a salmon (tinned) quiche that wasn't too bad.

Grill the kippers first both sides, break up into flakes, put on top of the pastry and squeeze some lemon over. Milk, eggs, couple of teaspoons of french mustard, and some ground nutmeg all whisked together and poured over the fish. Sprinkle some cayenne pepper or chilli flakes on the top before putting in the oven.

One of my pals is a lad I met in Thailand years ago; a blues fan (from Brum) who's as genuine as they come and we've become best pals over the years.

He'd eat a tin of John West too because a) it's cheap b) it's cheap c) it's cheap and the Villa don't have this tuna.

What is it with you West Midlands peasants?

Mate, I wouldn't know, but you Brummies obviously know the difference.
