Not being much of a sweet tooth, I just eat the batter.
I wonder if you can deep fry a black pudding?
Of course you can, from any chipper worth their salt. White (mealy) pudding, red pudding, haggis pudding, black pudding.
I’m not posting food pictures at the moment, here’s why:
Bit of a snack yesterday while I waited for Gupta to wash my car.
washed down with a few Tigers as this Chinese restaurant doesn’t harbour IPAs. Honestly not sure if this post goes in the drinking thread, lunch thread, elevensies thread or the daily life thread…
Probably on the Mai Arse thread.
Calling your Indian car valet professional Gupta!
I doubt that really is his name just you being a fat, lazy, racist cvnt!
At least you have a Swedish car
Chinky is not a racist word, it’s Scottish slang.
Nor is Gupta a racist word.
Both can be used as slurs, though.
Still in Wellington where our youngest was invited to participate in a United Nations program . . . today's guest speaker was Phil Twyford, minister of the bizarrely-named Ministry of Disarmament and Arms Control, followed by an all-day plenum.
Anyway, Wellington has an amazing array of excellent restaurants and we have been trying out quite a few of them. Today's lunch was at the Crab hack on the waterfront:
(not my photo)
I only took a few photos as seafood gets messy . . .
Swimmer Crabs and Tua Tua clams
The clams were particularly excellent
We also had tender calamari and grilled Aussie king prawns
Aaah . . . tonight will be an Ethiopian restaurant that is supposed to be out of this world
^^

A beef stew I made last night, reheated for lunch.
Pretty much followed this recipe to the letter, used chuck steak. Did everything in a saucepan on the stove top rather than in the oven, timings the same.
