Where do you come up with these numbers mate? That is no where near a kilo.

Complete with check shirt for the fine alfresco dining experience.
I would scoff that in minutes then have to remind myself I quit smoking 7 years and 11 months ago (to the day) when I get that 'what's next?' feeling.

Of course you can, from any chipper worth their salt. White (mealy) pudding, red pudding, haggis pudding, black pudding.

Bit of a snack yesterday while I waited for Gupta to wash my car.

washed down with a few Tigers as this Chinese restaurant doesn’t harbour IPAs. Honestly not sure if this post goes in the drinking thread, lunch thread, elevensies thread or the daily life thread…

    That really is his name.

But you're too busy trying to virtue signal to stop and think of that possibility. If I was a fat, lazy, racist I'd call the Chinese restaurant I was dining at a Chinky.

Chinky is not a racist word, it’s Scottish slang.

Nor is Gupta a racist word.

Both can be used as slurs, though.

Still in Wellington where our youngest was invited to participate in a United Nations program . . . today's guest speaker was Phil Twyford, minister of the bizarrely-named Ministry of Disarmament and Arms Control, followed by an all-day plenum.

Anyway, Wellington has an amazing array of excellent restaurants and we have been trying out quite a few of them. Today's lunch was at the Crab hack on the waterfront:

    (not my photo)

I only took a few photos as seafood gets messy . . .

Swimmer Crabs and Tua Tua clams

    The clams were particularly excellent

We also had tender calamari and grilled Aussie king prawns

Aaah . . . tonight will be an Ethiopian restaurant that is supposed to be out of this world

Fook ya! That looks great! Always tastes better with some Franks! If you can get the Crystal extra hot, that is the best retail sauce.

Pretty much followed this recipe to the letter, used chuck steak. Did everything in a saucepan on the stove top rather than in the oven, timings the same.
