I ate it, you didn't ... was delish

BTW, I don't stand on tradition, if it tastes good to me, that's all I care about.

The wife just plonked this down in front of me; for want of a better name I'll call it a port salad.

Not a carb in sight... and as usual I'm now very wary after this unexpected act of kindness...

Lunch will be served in an hour and a half, a 1.7kg Chook with some veg that looked nice yesterday. All have been seasoned with just some EVOO and Himalayan pink salt. Might heat up some Mendip berries to put on the side, and put some Goldenfry granules to good use as well Nothing fancy, but it never is.

To make buns, cobs, baps, rolls, flatbreads etc you need to use an oven after the dough has been formed in the breadmaker..

Normal bread is better done in an oven that way too, doesnt get such a rock hard crust.

    1) Belated many happy returns, Mendip - you old git...

    2) Went for a Korean style lunch today, cost about $7 for this box:

Took about half and left half (maybe 3/5ths) for the wife, as she usually likes this - it's just about spicy enough for her...

Pretty succulent and tasty. I'd have it again.

A rare lunch with the wife today.

    For me...

    Larb moo and moo tod.

I'm right into larb moo at the moment.

For the wife... I've learnt not to ask too many questions, but I can spot a som tam on the right.

This smelt as bad as it looks... you wouldn't want to step in it...

Nam pik pla, by all accounts.

How many chilis on your Thai lunch? I see two little specks

I can't sit at the same table as someone eating somtam with that pla raa or whatever. It taints everything

Doing a pork stir fry a bit later in the day but kicked off with my first attempt at cheesy garlicky biscuits. The recipe hinted it was close to the USA Red Lobster signature biscuits and can confirm. Four ticks of approval here...me, the wife, Thunder the chocolate Labrador and Storm the feisty black Lab...aka...Sporn of Satan, Black Death and lately, Black Heart.

That Korean food looks amazing, BB. I miss Korean food so bad!

^^^^PH, that sushi with wasabi looks delish!!

    Happy belated birthday, Mendip!!

I eat this rotini, but it has no carbs in it believe it or not. I use it and make a cold salad for lunch most days. I eat high protein, very low carb and high veggies (2 cups for lunch and 2 cups for dinner. 4 oz's of meat for lunch and 4 oz for dinner. Lost 20 pounds so far and will surely lose more.

It is lunch for me, not breaky. No carb bbq sauce as well.
