And before the peanut gallery fires up:

    1. My regular pizza delivery joint doesn't open till 15:00
    2. The yearly buy 1 get 1 deal is on now.
    3. The other half likes them

You've got some balls posting up a Pizza Company shrimp pizza on here.

Just had a protein shake, haven't had starchy carbs in ages and just seeing the pre-made base/crust is making me feel queasy.

It's actually a Super Deluxe and the prawns are an extra add-on, that's a double serve of them so they cost about 100 Baht extra

We were at some kid's birthday party a while back and they had pizza company or pizza hut laid out, not sure which pizzas they were but they had salad sauce instead of normal pizza sauce. And sliced hotdogs. Christ what an abomination.

Try the 15 inch NY double peperoni. The best commercial pizza I have had here. Even the dough used in the crust has a nice yeasty taste and is of a better texture.

Will post a pic of a half pepperoni half hawaiian next week from our favourite local pizza joint, but here's what a few slices of it look like if you dine in at their shop.

Incidently, they charge about 450 Baht for an 18 inch New York style pizza (that's too big for 2 people to eat) with free delivery. The pizza company abomination above would have cost over 900 Baht if it wasn't buy 1 get 1, and we ate the lot between us easily.

Looking real nice, but in all honesty I was shocked at how good the 1112 one was. Now I did say commercially produced.

2 for 1 pizza in Korat for lunch today. But no sports to watch... I was waiting for a new pair of specs to be made for the littl'un.

Not been to our local Korean place for a few months, so opted for a lunch there today.

A smaller selection of the 'freebie' small side dishes than usual, but good none the less.

Some deep fried mozzarella and prawns to nibble on.

Tried one of their kimchi omelettes. Tasted better than it looked.

I went for a spicy seafood noodle main, which really was spicy. Packed with seafood though, mussells, prawns, clams, squid.

M'Sahib perennial favourite, tuna salad with some washabi.

I washed it down with a litre jug of Leo, M'Sahib had a passion fruit and soda. 1200 baht the lot.

looks very good, you do realise you can request refills or more of the ‘free’ kimchi?

    A nice Isaan lunch today.

Larb moo (my favourite although I've still not found one to rival the food court at the entrance of Sukhumvit Soi 39 in Bangkok), barbecue pork, a kind of hairy beef, sticky rice and what I think was a random selection of leaves the wife picks from around the garden and feeds me for fun.

There was in fact a strange story associated with this lunch.

I'm not so good with chilli and it wasn't long before my nose started to run uncontrollably. I had a look around and the only thing within easy reach was a small pile of my daughter's discarded clothes on the floor from when she'd changed into her swimming costume earlier. Under the circumstances I did what I think anyone would do... and blew my nose into my daughter's dirty knickers. After I'd finished lunch I dropped her pile of clothes into the dirty linen basket and thought no more about it.

Little did I know that my wife soaks underwear in a bowl of detergent before sticking it in the wash, and on finding my daughter's knickers containing a strange gooey liquid became worried and started questioning her about it. This was when I became aware of what had happened and was faced with that classic dilemma... do you admit to using your daughter's dirty underwear as a handkerchief of just keep schtum. I decided to do the honourable thing and say nothing... these things usually go away... until that was the wife started talking about seeing a doctor. I had to come clean and admitted the whole thing... and you would not believe the look of simultaneous disgust and disbelief I received from my wife and daughter. It made me quite uncomfortable.

^ I was going to post a photo of the lasagna I just made up. Got it made before the heat and thought about having it for lunch. But too hot to cook it now

Mendip's post has to stand alone for a while. Just a classic male fuck up and reaction. Maybe put the photo up later in dinner..

Do you think those evening sessions with the dogs drinking some dodgy concoction the gardener has knocked up is naturalising you to Isaan.

From the look of the dog's eyes, some of those random 'leaves' may well be marijuana.
