Would have been good but I'm off to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu and then back to NZ after that.

    Next time for sure

Not sure of the name. It's situated at the front and has an outdoor seating area.

I'm off to Ikea in a bit. Might give that Japanese restaurant in 1U a whirl, if I can steer clear of the Swedish meatballs

    And...Yeah it was Koyaku

IKEA is at The Curve (IKANO) and Sushi Zanmai is at 1Utama, third floor in the New Wing . . . only five minutes away and a different mall.

Try the vegetarian meatballs - not as disgusting as they sound

    Brunch today!

    Should have this more often...

Military operation getting everything cooked to perfection and on the plate.

Much prefer a brunch to a breakfast on account of a few hours extra sleep

^^ For me that is just superb.

It's the availability of food like that which will one day probably make me move back to the UK.

In Korat it would be a major operation to source all of those ingredients, even if it was possible at all. I bet you can find all that within 5 minutes of your home... I'm very envious.

^^^Lunch of legends there Mr Chitty. Top scran sir!

Spicy Som Tam for Friday lunch prepared by a lovely lady from the province of Sarawak on Borneo island using green papaya and chillis from my very own garden.

    Lunch ... the second course-img_20200313_193024-jpg

I am not sure if Som Tam is actually a thing in Malaysia as she said she learned it from one of her Thai friends. I have tasted Som Tam in Thailand from a female companion's plate but never eaten a whole bowl myself before.

In any case a royal rumpy pumpy rogering was the order of the day as a mark of my sincere gastronomic appreciation

That looks amazing and absolutely smashes Mendip's dried up offering outta the park, although i'd personally swap the steak for back bacon.
