^Wow that looks delicious.. made or bought?

^^^Those cupcakes look delcious, Mendip. I haven't had sugar in awhile.. (my weakness that I try to keep away from cold turkey stylee).

I have no pics of lunch, but I've been eating lots of fat lately..keto style.
Made shrimps in garlic butter smothered in mozerella cheese with a huge caesar salad for lunch.

I wish. Nah, it's a relatively new restaurant based on Maōri/Japanese Fusion - imagine Inuit/Japanese and transplant it to New Zealand = bingo

The oither day the wife took me ot the local "cansi" joint.....

Needless to say, I was less than enthusiastic over the idea, based on my samplings of the local cuisine.

    Lunch ... the second course-20200716_133458-jpg

Cansi is beef bone marrow broth. Basically, it looked like about an 1-1/2" of leg, bone and meat that was cut up and made into a soup.

    Lunch ... the second course-20200716_134033-jpg

You're given scissors to cut the meat and gristle off the bone.

I never did get a picture of the bone in the soup, but as it was a giant serving, we took the leftovers home.

    Lunch ... the second course-received_281928806223928-jpeg

I have to admit, it's pretty damn tasty soup and the meat was actually fork tender. We'll be back for sure. The cansi, 4 lumpia, a beer and water cost us ~300 pesos.

^ How do you find the snakehead Bowie? I had one a while back after it had escaped from our pond... the dogs caught it... and found it really nice.

OK – a proper Thai lunch. Grilled Chicken, Grilled Chicken Liver, Som Tum and sticky rice. Enjoyed by all. We have a 7 at the end of our Moo Baan access road. The access road terminates on Highway 9 the Suphan Buri – Bang Bua Thong Expressway. So, lots of traffic. Lots of traffic provides for lots of customers at the food vendor carts. Today we were a bit early for the lunch crowd so didn’t have to wait in line. Usually a 15-30 minute wait.

Does anybody else call sprouts 'Baby Hulk's testicles', or is it only us?

Chicken sitting in masala and coconut cream since yesterday, spoon o' rice, and corn on the cob. Well tasty for something so simple.

By us, have you got a mouse in your pocket? But the answer is: no, and stop drinking before midday

Mendip here's a pic for you, the remnants of today's leg of lamb along with some chicken the Mrs took to some poor dogs (as she calls them) that live nearby our condo.

They look like well fed 'poor' dogs!

Good job, I thought it was only the soi dogs round my way that got lamb leg bones to gnaw on.

About as messy as it gets with Italian roll, mayo, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, onion, pickled cucumber, 225gr Angus patty, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce. It was pretty heavy

Dental day – on return stopped at a local restaurant – late lunch take out, Rad Na Talay and Pad Thai Goong – incredibly delicious… this place always hits target. A bit pricier than most of our local joints but well worth it. THB 200 total.

A wet and cool (25 degrees) here in Phuket today, so appropriate we lunched with a couple of friends at the Korean restaurant near us. Korean food has some great, hearty soups and stews, ideal for days like today.

A Brody wrap for lunch today. Some lovely fresh Mack bought and cooked this morning, green shit, red shit, cheese, secret sauce.

    Lunch ... the second course-20200924_122615-jpg

If you've never seen any of Brody's few hundred and counting clips, he's well worth a watch. 2+ million Subs can't all be wrong about that! Pristine ocean wilderness somewhere in Nth West Australia, fishing/spearing, cooking what he catches, some smoking hot girlfriends, the ever present risk of a Shark biting him in half, and a dog named Stryder

A wet and windy day here in Phuket, so gave our usual lunch venues a miss. M'Sahib likes this place in Phuket Town which serves food to her taste. Although the general area photos make the place seem pretty empty, we were quite early for lunch, and some large family groups (all Thai) started to come in before we left.
