Good to see see four cress strands and a one torn lettuce leaf in your "salad".

Not today but last week, I've been partaking the dish for decades. A very easy meal, all ingredients obtainable here in LOS and a delicious mélange of flavours and textures.

5 minutes prep, 1 hour or so oven cooking, eaten with a chewy bread and a decent red wine.
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.

And, even better, no meat! It does sound delicious - take a photo next time you make it and post it - see if it looks as good as the recipe photo

    ^ Looks great, that does

I always love a smothering of caramelised onions ...

I don't think I've ever had pepper over beans.

    The plot thickens...

I was just doing some 'work' in my office and the wife brings me up some lunch!

Breakfast AND lunch... I am now very nervous indeed...

Its spooky, its almost like you don't know you are talking bollocks. Anyhow, no amount of jiggery pokery will alter the fact that its just salty shite.

I wanted salmon and salad (*cough*) but the other half wanted KFC, which we'd eat twice a year. Pretty good to be honest

What a difference a day can make...

Yesterday lunch was hand delivered to my office by my darling (if not mysterious) wife.

And today... I found some mashed potato left over from last night and a couple of sausages in the fridge. Two lunches ensued...

Can't fault spam, but those snags need more care when frying, and try beetroot.

Yesterday's lunch, a grilled snapper fillet on a potato cake, with creamed spinach.

HA! Nothing that fancy - fermented soy beans, my favourite. It's called nato.
