Looks like Mendo, like me, drives barefoot.
I do get the odd comment about it, but much prefer it.
Or perhaps Yogi's shown him who's boss again.![]()

^ Bare right foot, flip-flopped left foot.
Have you ever got the accelerator pedal trapped between foot and flip-flop... a frightening experience.
And I am boss, by the way. Undisputed boss.
Anyway... yesterday's brunch was chicken breakfast fajitas, using some leftover chicken fajita chicken from our chicken fajitas last week.
Home made guacamole as well!
I always think it's a bit weird having chicken and an egg in the same meal, but why not?

That looks good enough to order on Food Panda.![]()
Had some soul food today from the good ole US of A...

To be honest Pickel, when I said 'last week', it was last Thursday we had the chicken fajitas, and I used up the leftover chicken on Sunday (the start of a new week?) so I was just within your three day window!
In saying that, I do believe that I've developed a very strong stomach living in Isaan, but not so strong as Mrs Mendip's which must be made of cast iron. I am forever finding little lumps of dried up meat/fish in the fridge that she happily munches away on. Curled up lices of dried out ham seem to be a particular favourite of hers.
In fact, the other day I found half a Korat Chef sausage roll in a bag in the fridge which I'd been saving, but forgot about. I wasn't going to risk it on the dogs and while I was debating whether it was safe to feed to the chickens, the Kommandant saw it and claimed it for herself. I must admit that while I was curious as to what severe food poisoning would do to her normally placid demeanour, I was reluctant to let her eat it because usually, if she suffers, I suffer. But of course I let her have the rancid sausage roll which I assume she ate with no adverse reaction as I heard nothing further.
On the plus side, we don't have a lot of food waste in this household.
Yesterday we had a lunch for dinner. I had been planning on using up the weekend's leftover lamb roast to make lamb kebab/fajita kind of things, but after chopping up and frying the lamb with garlic and red onions I discovered that we had no wraps or pita bread, or anything else suitable to make kebabs, which pissed me off immensely.
But I did find some burger rolls in the freezer, which had to do.
I had fried up the leftover roasties with the lamb.
Home made guacamole...
Not what I planned.
But very nice, nonetheless.

I feel your pain mendy her indoors keeps all manner of weird shit and even not so weird shit in the fridge . She doesn't get it that there is an expiration date. Or am I the farang over thinking this. Either way I throw shit in the bin if it's part date and frees up room In the ref for beer
Most people are Kunts.dont believe me? Next time you see a group of people. Shout out OI KUNT watch em all turn around.
It does cause arguments though. Like hey where's that Vietnamese sausage I put in the fridge 3 months ago gone?
Sounds like you need a beer fridge, buddy.
I imagine both of your fridges stink to high heaven. I am sorry but if I had a wife like either of yours who grew up in the sticks of SEA I would impose a stiff rule that she had a separate fridge to put all that disgusting shit in.
How on god's green earth do you kiss your wives when you know she has been noshing on some larvae or other bug.

Married now nearly 20 years there's no kissing anymore. Maybe a peck on the cheek on valentines day. A blow jobs just a distant memory also. We do have 2 fridges mine was supposed to be for beer but it's full of strange vitals grrrr
^^ The perenial background stench of burning plastic around these parts tends to mask any aromas that may come from our fridge.
And as for this 'kissing', the wife's nearly as old as me and that holds little appeal these days. That stage of our marriage ended arounf three days after the wedding day.
In fact I seem to sleep with Maya more often than not lately.
She might feel more like it if she could find her lingerie
It is clear that you have never had a successful long term partnership. It is never about living with someone whose good points you love. It is about living with someone whose bad points you can live with.
My missus loved kimchi. She would often cook up batches. Made the whole house stink. But I would give anything to have that warm and caring woman back in the kitchen cooking up another batch of that awful shite.
^^ Wise words Nid.
I tend to spend my days upstairs, the wife downstairs.
We seem to manage living together without too many issues.
But the wife does come upstairs once a day, to bring me lunch! And it was quite a strange lunch today...
Salmon and guacamole sandwiches with sweetcorn soup! The sandwiches certainly weren't suitable for dunking.
I would have to say, it was a combination that didn't really work for me but the guacamole needed using up.
And I'm lucky in that I can eat just about anything.

The weather's heating up, keeping 3 liter jugs full of chilled homemade ginger, lemongrass and lavender tea in the fridge is a must. Delicious, refreshing, and great for the insides.
