^Flying tomorrow morning.
Half a chicken shawarma left over served cold from the fridge.
Accompanied with half a left over KFC coleslaw, served from the fridge.
Glorious after last night's 3 liters of beer.
The world has never known such culinary perfection.
Order extra for scrummy cold leftovers from the fridge for tomorrow.
He'll be ordering doughnut delivery for breakfast before ya know it.
^ 45kg wringing wet teenager.
I could just eat it by scooping it out with my hand then sucking and licking my fingers, in public.
Got to love my local butcher, 950g of Ribeye, two steaks for £12. Only half one below so its a light lunch.
My mum put a roast on the table every single Sunday, be it pork, beef, chicken or lamb, come rain or shine. And she worked full time.
We had a hot breakfast every morning and my mum did the school run before work. I didn't really appreciate how hard she worked at the time, before I experienced the alternative...
Changing times...
I made meself and the daughter porridge for breakfast.
And then it was pie and chips for Sunday lunch.
I couldn't decide between peas and beans, and while I was thinking this over the oven 'dinged', so we had neither.
Korat Chef chicken and ham pies really are the bollocks, even without accompaniment!
Nice Mendy, nothing like a good Pie, make sure you head to The Raven next time you're back! The pastry on this one looks decent.
Absolute legend your mum and sounds just like my mum but add walking the dog 5 days a week as well!
^ She's 88 now but still insists on cooking whenever I visit.
She doesn't serve up pig intestine soup either.
My mum walked her dog every day until a few weeks ago when 'Bella' had to be put down. This is the first time that I've really worried about my mum as Bella was her only companion all through lock down and that awful time. I've tried to persuade her to take on another dog... there are plenty of old rescue dogs from deceased elderly owners, but she won't consider it... worried about the future despite my reassurances that it would be looked after in the future.
I've even offered her Yogi as he's been a right b*stard lately, but she just doesn't want to know.
Poor Yogi and sorry to hear about Bella, what type of dog was she?
People who walk and they usually have dogs, are some of the healthiest people around and seem to live much much longer. Probably not only the exercise but the fresh air. Get as much quality O2 into your blood and feeding your organs as possible and it doesn't strain your organs either!
I say mumma Mendip gets a new rescue dog, it will save a life and it will keep hers going!
One should listen twice as much as one speaks
Some days I have Thai for lunch, some days Western.
Yesterday was Thai, some kind of a squid dish I reckon, cooked by the wife.
Today was Western... a spag bol sandwich to use up some leftovers.
I'd been saving a half tin of Heinz Tomato Soup in the fridge for a few days... the wife thought it was like the Batchelor's condensed soup and mixed it with a load of water.
What a shame.
But the sarnie was good!
^ Nah, she's not like that.
Next you'll be telling me Strychnine isn't a health supplement.
Can't beat mums.
My teenage years saw a household addiction to homemade curries, oddly enough.
And also my dad's favourite joke line of 'That's what she said last night'.
My main memory of those dinners is my mum tasting the vindaloo she had just made him, as we all sat down and she exclaimed 'Omg, that's too hot for pleasure'.
You can guess what immediately came out of my mouth.
Mum gave an 'Oi!!' while the table absolutely erupted. There was handclapping and everything.
Guess you had to be there.
