Thanks Will, it's been a rough ride but my wife has been a bedrock of support.
I love a good shashlick and that's one thing in good supply here in Moscow thanks to the glory days of the Soviet Union. Pork or chicken were the choices yesterday and I went for chicken with some vegeterian plov.
The golden rule of any kebab is a hot sauce and onions, innit?
Thankfully, cucumber free.
^ why are you trying to make out you are in Russia? between that and your putting Headworx to shame on every footie thread i think you may need to see someone.
I'd love to stay and chat about this but I Moscow.
It's ok for nammers to vote me out of the EU, but it's not ok for me to post about my new life in Moscow.
I don't get it.
A reasonably busy morning, so a tomato and mint soup taken out of the freezer for me, had with some parmesan croutons.
Started the day by making a batch of bread rolls for the freezer. These just out of the oven and brushed with melted butter whilst hot.
Whilst the dough was proving, made a large pot of Aloo Gobi.
M'Sahib had some as a side with her lunch. The rest in the freezer.

Su-poib, PAG.
Edith was home for the morning/arvo, so a lovely light 30 minutes of home cardio, then light 4 set upper body in the home gym while waiting for food pandy.
The sorta wrap that you need to keep wrapped in the wrapping paper if you want to eat it as a wrap, wrap, for me.
Some sorta veggie + processed meat thing for Edith.
Fresh mint, lemongrass, lavender and Evian tea to sip on.
Coming into the 6 months of the year where dining on your veranda is just relaxingly splendid.![]()
Cy often admonishes me when I'm on a roll, but he must have at least had some vicarious excitement these last few days reading my posts.
I was nearly gonna tell the tale about my weekend with the 2 dancers from Nana in Klong Toey and the 48 hour epic session we had, but I think this could be too much for my pal.
And I only have his best interests at heart.![]()
Do tell
I could tell a million and one stories if I posted in members about my time in Bangkok, but I'd get nailed for it, so no.
Although my pal is dead now and he was the main character in the stories so maybe not.
I'm married now anyway and those days are long behind me.
As is my pal, unfortunately. 14 years now.

Needed to replenish the stock of pulled pork in the freezer, so some shoulder into a marinade in the fridge overnight yesterday.
What a bargain pork is from Makro. Over 2 Kg for 226 baht.
Anyway, the pork and marinade into the pressure cooker this morning, to which pineapple juice was added and mixed together.
Once the safety valve had popped up, 50 minutes then left to depressure naturally. Pork taken out to rest, cooker back on the heat to reduce the sauce to a thick consistency. Pork pulled apart then into the sauce to be mixed together.
Out of bao buns, so another batch made.
Has to be one of my favourite meals. Knocked up some coleslaw to join the pork, and topped with the obligatory Sriracha sauce.

A schneaky lil post 25km cycle, pre upper body gym, not the most photogenic fusion mish mash on the veranda.

Productive morning. First off, made a spiced pineapple rice for M'Sahib.
Fried off garlic and ginger, added the washed/soaked/drained basmati rice.
Then a mix of sriracha sauce, aminos, sugar, salt, and chilli flakes.
a good stir, then the fresh pineapple added.
I use vegetable stock rather than plain water, so brought to the boil and simmered for 15 minutes. After resting for another 5 minutes, she's ready.
A short interlude whilst I drove into Phuket Town to do my 90 day report at Immigration. For this they have a drive through facility so it's a breeze.
Back at the ranch, sliced up a baguette I'd taken from the freezer this morning, and fried the slices in butter until golden and crisp.
Once they'd cooled, each crouton rubbed with a garlic cloves, and a slice of mozarella placed on top before going onto the hot soup, and under the grill in the oven. Superb flavours.
