I don't think he did, I've had these before (yes there was a time I use to drink way too much that I'm not proud of) and the cheese melts inside when you microwave them. Looks like he's thrown them on the plate straight outta the fridge

I almost hesitate to post another lunch after the mauling I received a couple of days ago, not to mention many libelous insinuations.

It was a late lunch on the move today after picking up the daughter from a school trip. Korat Chef kindly gave us spoons to facilitate eating our fresh steak pies while driving though the awful late afternoon rush hour traffic. The roads were busy and even when using a spoon, my shirt suffered from the inevitable spillage.

You're lucky, the second dish is normally forgotten. Did you ask how long does it take to make a salad in a professional kitchen?

    ^ Professional.

    You're a funny man.

^^ what sort of pie leaves white stains all down your shorts, other than a creampie from a quickie.

Does the gardener or passport renewal assistant tag along on these commutes?

Fuzz that shiz. Move down to the beach buddy. Great international schools, lots of Westerners and things to do, it isn't a stinking Isaan city, passport renewal services are 100 meters away.

^ Korat Chef had fresh steak pies and apple pies, but no cream pies... although I don't know why I'm telling you this as I suspect you're just being smutty.

I've been wondering about these white stains on my shorts for several days now and can only think they come from this prickly heat cooling powder I've taken to throwing over myself after a shower. It's as hot as hell in Korat just now and I start sweating before I've even dried the water off after a ahower. It's pretty unbearable.

Those stains are clearly the salt from the jizz spillage.

Looks superb. Our handyman is here today, continuing the making good after resolution of our water leak problems. Took one of the baked chicken curries out of the freezer for me, knocked up a quick curry sauce as an extra, and some fresh cucumber raita.

^^Yummy. I would eat that!

I would scrape that bit of mayonaise off the sushi though.

There is no mayonnaise, that would be yogurt.

Continuing the healthy lunch theme, homemade cream of mushroom soup with parmesan croutons, with a bowl of ratatouille on the side. Both the soup and ratatouille made on previous days and from the fridge and freezer respectively, and both tasted better than when freshly made (and that was good).

Out to the coast yesterday to Southport and stopped at a country pub just outside Liverpool for lunch. By far and away the best fish (cod) and chips I've ever tasted.

Cooked in beer batter. Ridiculously good.

Steak gets my approval. Though I agree that slightly more pink and or a red centre would have been better.

Made a baked chicken curry a few weeks ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Rinse and repeat today, though doubled up on the sauce which is the star of the show.

The pan seared chicken breasts topped with the fried onion, ginger and green chilli mix.

The sauce spooned over the top, keeping the onion mix in place.

30 minutes in the oven and she's done. Again with a couple of naan breads from the freezer (note to self, make a new batch of naan).

    Frikadeller (Danish Meatballs) Recipe
A few months ago, a potato ricer that I'd ordered on-line from Ikea (in the mistaken belief that Swedish quality would prevail) failed miserably in its maiden use. Dialogue with Ikea ensued, and advised to return to the Phuket outlet. M'Sahib duly did this, and was offered to exchange for something of equivalent value, or wait for some undetermined time for a refund. Anyway, she came home with a bag of frozen Ikea Swedish meatballs. They've been languishing in the freezer since then, but yesterday got them out, knocked up a tomato sauce, and after defrosting, let them bubble away for a couple of hours. Only ever had Swedish meatballs previously with mashed potato, onion gravy and lingonberry jam. Actually not bad in the tomato sauce, and a few portions now in the freezer.

Must be a magician, turning this:

    into this:

Had some left over pasta in the freezer, which was rolled and cut by hand as couldn't be bothered getting the pasta machine out. A decent lunch.
