There's hope for me yet. Pretty sure Thai beans on toast would be put on the kitchen top for later if Maya was around.

Maya I add that Maya is a product of the Great British Empire.

Born in Bristol but raised to Somali and Swedish parents and named after a US author!

It doesn't get much more British than that!

    Gratuitously:

She is however quite stunning. And a West Ham fan. It's a match made in heaven.

We'll agree to disagree on the West Ham bit , but we can agree to agree on the rest.

Nice indeed. Seems your wife and mine often cook the same. My favorites are similar too. Radna, the above, and a killer pad thai. Those are just lunches. Glad we can both cook.

Just to show it's not all about beans.

The wife knocked this up today.

That looks delicious. Why is she cooking for you today? I'd be worried.

At first glance it does look like there's a cook in the family.

On closer inspection though, is that a dreaded 'fish'ball on the left?

I see there is no dot above the 'i' when it is next to 'f'.

    Quite a fiscovery.

^^ She's also roasting some pork for tonight for me to work my Western magic on.

Something is going on for sure... I'm very worried.

Edit. A pork ball. There's also one at 2 O'clock.

Edit. I've logged that insult by the way, Cyrille.

Are you having fish for lunch?

You'll have to catch it first.

What!?!?. No canned beans, no canned peas, something is very wrong.

Speaking from a health point of view on the Noodle soup Mendy, I see lots of fat on the pork, processed pork balls and liver. I think she is trying to kill you.....slowly.

Note the concession of bean sprouts, though.

^^ I have to take issue here.

I don't think I've eaten tinned peas for many years, at least well before my TD career. Frozen peas are the way to go.

That was chicken in the noodles, and liver is good for you. I'll give you the pork balls though... not my favourite but two or three can't hurt. And we get good quality balls.

I prefer the beef balls but I imagine they cost an extra 2 Baht per kg or something so the wife gets the pork ones.

And as for the lack of a dot on the 'i' when it follows an 'f'...

On my laptop there quite clearly is a dot when I zoomed in, but not on my phone. I guess it must be something to do with screen resolution. And I can't believe I even looked into it.

^ I'm pretty sure it was chicken, but I certainly won't be the one to ask the wife.

    Been there, done that.

Hey, she could tell me it was Wagyu beef and I'd happily nod in agreement.

I am fairly certain that there was a kitchen picture a while back with a can of peas in it. Not yours?

    ^^ Bladdy hell, TD CSI.

I will check, but if there was a picture of a tin of peas on my kitchen then that means that I haven't eaten them.
