Yum...I see the brine is just water. Thought it was something else. Those bangers up there probably beat an all beef hot dog any day.

    Ball Park beef frank ingredients:

Ingredients. Beef, Water, Corn Syrup, Contains 2% Or Less: Salt, Potassium Lactate, Hydrolyzed Beef Stock, Sodium Phosphate, Celery Juice Powder, Natural Flavor, Sea Salt, Sodium Diacetate, Extractives Of Paprika.

But truth be told I would choose a bratwurst in your bun over a beef frank. Your hot dogs in brine remind me too much of those awful Vienna Sausages.

How did your buns work out as far as slicing them and fitting the hot dog in it? Did they hold together?

^ interesting to see the difference in US vs EU/UK food labeling requirements, i.e. no %s etc on meat.

Well, if the bird needs to be "mechanically separated" must be one pretty old and tough bird.

They imply that they're 100% beef. Which parts of the beef is probably best left unknown.

Those hot dogs and toppings look like good drunken beer food.

How were the hot dogs themselves?

That was a 2 and a half hour labour of love.

They were pretty darn good as it goes though. The rolls far superior to those dry things you get in Thai and Malay supermarkets.
Was it worth all the hassle? when I could have ordered A&W on Grab Food, which are nearly as good

    Maybe not.

Although... what's your thoughts on this ?

Looks like he already had it in the cart in his pic above. Won't that air fryer do the job dill?

btw...I got one of those air fryer contraptions for an Xmas gift. Have used it mainly for processed prepared crap. Cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, tater tots, etc... According to the book that came with it, it will do everything...even steaks.

You can even roast a chicken in it if the chicken's not too big. Chips don't work for some reason but if you peel and CUBE the spuds, towel dry them then drizzle some oil over them in a bowl and mix around with your hands so the cubed spuds are coated in oil and put then in the basket on a high heat, tossing them every five minutes (you can half full the basket) you'll get roasted potato cubes that are a fair approximation of chips (fries, for you yanks).
Also if you cook some chicken breasts in the air fryer, then dice them, and put the diced chicken on a brrito with some diced onion, cheese thinly sliced/diced tomato and either jalepino or sriracha wrap it up into a tube and bake it in the air fryer you get a nice baked chicken burrito.
I've had one for years. Great for all sorts of stuff.
