The top pic looks better than I get at home!
Jack, if you're still visiting next year I expect some donations. Metal fork, top pics, looks a bit unusual...

BA i think, back bacon, but can't make out the logo...
^^ You can stay for a week for that knife and fork!
Mainly BA, some cathy and Etihad.
Sittin on EVA 777 bird in Business Class. Just got menu. We gots option of Chicken Thigh with linguini or Deep Fried fish in some stew. Wife chose fish. I said...I will take the Chocolate cake and a double Glenmorangie. Can't wait for the food smell. The Glen should help with that.
Oh I don't do food pics. Just can't snap pictures of food. Seems weird to me. I sit in restaurants and see flashes or people telling people Wait. I need pics.
She chose the fish? And the bird doesn't even know me. Just kidding, and really is there any good air food? It's like hospital food, your stuck so they give it too you in more ways than one.
I agree Fish. Hospital food and Airplane food are damn near one in the same.
KLM economy, BKK-AMS last week...
As Nid correctly predicted, meatballs with mash for the main meal (as for the last ten years at least). Unfortunately my daughter had taken a forkful of mash before I remembered my Teakdoor duties, but to be honest it looked no better beforehand.
And the second meal before landing. I just have nothing good to say about this at all. No, hang on... the water was fine!
I've been flying this KLM flight a lot lately for work, so knew what to expect. I packed a steak and kidney pie to see me through... which the daughter nailed.
I reckon this was the only piece of metal cutlery in economy class!
^ It all looks OK to me. I might fly KLM next time based on the food alone.
What was inside the cannelloni?
^^ It was like a kind of feta cheese / spinach mix, I think...
I fly KLM for the routing to Bristol, no other particular reason.
It seems my food photography has made a marked improvement if I've made the KLM food look palatable!
Oh, and i think it is a no choice option as it is vegetarian.
Yes, the second 'meal' was one choice only!
And concur with training the wife to ask for red wine. I managed 9 bottles and a gin and tonic... it almost made the food palatable!
We eat at the airport beforehand. A couple of G&TS and it's on with whatever Thai can throw at us. Everyone seems to go for the chicken curry...we prefer the pork and pasta...
Omelette with spinach for breakfast is better than it looks but never liked the idea of chicken sausage. We are really only interested in not having the runs or anything else embarrassing.
The wife and I treat the flight as a necessary evil that no amount of quality food or comfort can diminish in the torture of being in the air and under someone else's control. The best food is on landing and knowing we can live another day....
Fly with Thai most of the time and usually pre-order the seafood which is edible but uninspiring, the bonus is getting served quick and 3 glasses of red on top of the bottle and a half in the airport lounge with brekkie is usually enough for 5-6 hours passed out which takes a chunk out of the 11 odd hours. All good.
I make it a rule never to eat seafood in economy class - I pick the food which is hardest to fcuk up
