If that's the comparative - rice porridges - I find the Chinese-style of congee less satisfactory to the SE Asian styles of these delectable "breakfast" delicacies, as they can appear in a wide variety of techniques/styles.

I agree with that, I always feel I am getting more congee for my baht in Thailand.
Mongolian Moan would be breakfast. Too milky and that just doesn't sit at all well with me.
