^ i hope you told her it wasn't you... but a load of anonymous internet strangers on a Thai sexpat forum showing you foreign graphs, charts and photos of Lamborghinis and giving you free financial advice that you didn't understand.

^ That could have been Kobe beef instead it looks more like Kobe Bryant

Do you have a recipe for the gravy?

^Nope. But you're smart enough to know how to saute 'shrooms in butter then mix them into gravy

^Likewise. I can't follow recipes very well and don't even have a set of kitchen scales that can measure above 25 grams.

^Wot?. You need scales that are highly accurate for measuring out the flour needed to make 1 small pikelet.

Mushies, I hope they were magic.

    150g for BHT 69 !

I've never bought Mushies in Thailand, the Farm doesn't eat them.

    Really surprised at the price.

The surcharge alone is worth not having to work around some Thai market.

I need to lose a kilo or three after my visit to Thailand...too much lazing around and cold beer.

Anyway I've been eating sort of healthy this week, so I'll share the pain with a couple of dishes...

    Healthy-ish meals-prawns_mt_0816-jpg

Cocktail prawns on a bed of mange tout...with a token bread stick. It had an onion, ginger, garlic base and a drop of oyster sauce and wasn't sort of okay.

    Healthy-ish meals-poached_0817-jpg

Breakfast had been one poached egg on a slice of toast with 1/3 tin of beans, but I treated myself to two eggs this morning

    Healthy-ish meals-fish_0818-jpg

Today's delight was a couple of small slabs of pollock, fried with some mushrooms and tomato and served with ratatouille...and a token breadstick.

Lunch has been lettuce and cucumber salad, which is a bit strange when it's snowing outside.

No alcohol all week and walking around 7 1/2 miles a day to burn calories slowly....too cold to go swimming.

Good stuff. That will certainly help.

Just heading out to see if I can beat my 5km PB (26:34), with a nice Aussie rib eye & veg for lunch.

That took me back - my old dad loved stuffed marrow - made us kids barf something awful. But lights? Really? how the hell are you going to cook them?

So, the week started with me eating fish again...

    Healthy-ish meals-pollock_0827-jpg

Steamed pollock, this time, with loads of veg...

    Healthy-ish meals-plaice_spin_0830-jpg

Fried plaice fillet on a bed of spinach and mushrooms...took 20 minutes to prepare and cook - less than a minute to eat...

Then I got bored of fish and made a chicken saag...

    Healthy-ish meals-chicken_saag_0832-jpg

That's more like it...washed down with a bottle of red and we'll not bother with the scales in the morning...

Just getting into locally shot game.

Venison sausages with fusilli pasta and plum tomatoes; roasted pheasant executed but a mile or two from my front door...

Locally sourced produce is the way forward.

I suggest you people start chowing down on rat.

After a bad day (see Daily Moan) the diet took a hit...

    Healthy-ish meals-steak_0843-jpg

A rump steak in red wine and mushroom sauce...

I'll hit 300,000 steps for the month tomorrow with a week to go so I don't feel too guilty...
