LT is the only member I met. He kindly came to the Pattaya Hotel where we were staying.

We bought a selection of his/her wares.

The pies were good BUT ... but we only have a microwave to heat them @ the Farm, so we couldn't do them justice.

But the winner winner wasn't the chicken dinner but the (Indian) Butter Chicken.

Really, really good. I didn't get through all of it (generous portion) the first time and the Farm Father (partner's old man)
    demolished round 2 ... delish

    IMHO

I have something similar, perhaps more effective - named Remoska.

I am using it for many years, very good for a full chicken overlain with potato and vegetables, or smaller pieces of meat, or any cake. The casserole is coated by Teflon.

(Seems that my post yesterday has disappeared (because I gave a link to a selling site in UK?), did Orrens in #36 refer to it?)

That's next on the shopping list, David. Also some plates, and a low cut bikini top.

My first attempt will be with something with potatoes .... or maybe just potatoes. I bought 1.28kg of dirty spuds today. I've just cleaned them up. Now for the planning.

I was lucky to get one for 919 baht. I'd better check it works now.

Yep and just remember to multiply the suggested cooking times by 1.5 to ensure whatever you are cooking qualifies as Bloke Cooking, Norts gave a hint earlier.

The support team stands ready to help but we have high hopes for you...

Someone please cook a chicken in one and post some pics, let's see how it comes out. I have an oven and cook roast chicken at least once a week - including today - and would be really interested to see how they turn out for regular home cooks using a convection oven instead of seeing advertising pics.

I had a Remoska. Lost it due to divorce. Its very simple with no thermostat and impossible to clean as the fat escapes from the vent and carbonises on the chrome top.
That said you don't whine about your cast iron pots not buffing to a shine.
They were cheap from Czechoslovakia then became popular and expensive. If the Chinese copied them I would buy in an instant.

Errr thats a spatchcocked chicken. Using big scissors you cut out the backbone to flatten and provide an even cooking surface. If BBQ'ed you wrap a brick in foil to press down.

That looks like a rub with paprika and chili and salt and garlic powder and black pepper and I am salivating.
