Kind of like the whole "biscuit" thing. What the word brings to mind largely depends on where you grow up.
Ruddy hell Snubs you know how to liven a thread up!
You carn't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs hey
He's got a lot of angst. Still, i'm back on his weakly auto red.
ohoh Shhush - Princess only deals in facts...facts Goddamnit
Tortillas, what was left of them once Syph had done its work.
Back on topic....
Should have started small with a four egg Tortilla instead of a dozen, that why it turned into a disaster. Greed!
I think I deleted the pic, but it's somewhere on this site.
The burnt 12 egg Tortilla abortion pic.
Gonna bang up some pics of the new improved version soon and a few authentic Tortillas and Spanish omelettes direct from the Tapas bar in Spain.
No mention in the recipe of chopped green chilis (Jalapenos ?) they add a lot to a bland dish.
Its good bachelor food as you can have it over several days, breakfast, dinner whatever.
Works well with baked beans as a side dish. Well, I am a Brit...

Dunno what others call it, but for me growing up that dish was called a Spanish omelette.
Tortilla/omelette....itl be scrambled eggs and spuds when Chitty makes it.
Huevos revueltos y papas fritas (scrambled eggs and fried potatoes still wouldn't be a bad result).
It's a constant learning curve Reachy, check out the last 6 pages of threads in the kitchen if your really interested.
Or are you backing up Princess?
Judging by that repo, i'd say a resounding yes.
I'm gonna name that aborted Tortilla above after your little circle.
Any ideas for a name anyone?
Synchronicity: https://www.seriouseats.com/2016/07/...-omelette.html
Obviously its a cooking website. I was going to use leftovers from last night to make a Spanish omelette but in the morning I was too sick so I got drunk instead. So it goes.

Today was little different. But I didn't get into a fight. Thats an improvement.

You don't get these in Spain save at home or with a girlfriend.
This is how it goes.

The word tortilla IS Spanish, you div. It wasn't misappropriated by anyone. It's a Spanish word (from Spain and not from anywhere else) meaning originally round and flat.
If they'd appropriated it from the natives of Mexico we'd be calling it a Tlaxcalli! The Spanish saw the Mexica flatbreads and thought "how the fick do you pronounce Tlaxcalli anyway, I'm going to call that thing a tortilla because it's round, flat, and edible".
