    Chitty's Vegeterian Soup

Time to empty the fridge of every veggie and sling them in a pot and make a healthy soup full of vitamins.

First job is to sharpen the knives and get cracking on the sweet Christmas vino. ...

Then get chopping and bang the lot in the biggest pot in the house.
Bring to the boil and leave to stew overnight.

I'm seriously considering boshing some meat into the mix!

    It's a marathon not a sprint.

This bad boy loopadoopdoop will be ready for lunchtime tomorrow.

    It's still stewing...

You know eating too much Hi-So food will give you black lines and a yellow ting to your skin.

A little 'sludge' is good for your Soul

Why peeps boil mulled wine is beyond me, it tastes much nicer and sweeter almost akin to a sherry neat and unmolested.

I could go with some vadgeatarian soup right about now. Wonder if Smoochi has a presence here in PA

    Brownie points :

I green owed for promoting vegetarianism.

I red owed for being a weak kunt and taking up smoking again.

    Net effect : zero.

    Thumbs up

Your cooking looks much better without pictures of the final product, Chitty.

!!!! The first sensible words you've written. Ever.
Yes, or shin. Even various beef or pork bones.
I'd lay off the pasta as you have tatties already and besides, pasta's not so good long slow cooked.

Personally I never put any of the brassica group in soups as they tend to imbue in it a sulphurous malodour that robs the mushrooms, carrots etc of their flavour.
Way to go: Do a big pot and divide it up into freezer portions for later.

Where's the soup? ^ there seems to be a theme developing in these "soup" threads.
