This most magnificent thread is beginning to loose it's luster as to any standards of what defines a man's man manwhich.

Come on boys - step it up!!

Sausage, bacon, cheese, avocado and a couple of pickles. Consumed at 9.30am yesterday and kept me going until 6.30pm.

The money shot was about 2 minutes later when the cheese had all melted.

Fine pair of manwiches there. For my druthers, if that is a sage and onion stuffing, I would go for dills sarnie.

Yes, nice manwiches, good effort on this page (no bloody beetroot in sight...).

(Having said that, an Aussie Works Burger, with beetroot and a lot of other stuff, is a very fine creation indeed.)

A beetroot on a sarnie doesn't make the sarnie a hamburger!
Beetroot goes well together with all kinds of meat.

    Could be a worse vision.
If you might, contemplate TC's alternative Bahn Mi engorged with beetroot and coriander.

Only be deemed so when taken pickled.

A fully erect beetroot, when slowly roasted over charcoal, is divine.

We like to eat "the open sanwich".

    Smørrebrød. Not swedish smørgås..something
Less messy and goes well with the Akvavit.

    Ryebread is a must

    Topping is up to you

    Skål

(that was off topic; over and out)

^ I've had a few of those in Scandy, Holland and Germany. Occasionally quite tasty but a bit messy (especially after a few pints).

    ^ ^Nice variety there.

Just woke after a nasty nightmare about covid of which could probably be down to a late evening cheese and ham toastie.

Gonna pop downstairs now and make one of those Viking open tops.

OK so that looks pretty good. But the Akvavit? Please fuck and no!

Some Danish friends used to bring that for me to CM -- I suspect just to laugh at me suffering.
