BBQ yesterday equals leftover sirloin for a quick and easy lunch today.

Yeah, not bad, but should have put the mustard on the beef rather than the cheese to avoid unsightly colour clashes...

Always keep half an eye on presentation!

(...I'm not sure, you'll need Papillion to do a check.)

It's Friday night, the wife's with her sick mum, so it was down to me to prepare for our night out... stupid amounts of Leo for me and a fun-filled evening for the littlun.

Salmon fishcakes and.... sorry bsnub... beans! With bread and butter of course.

I looked across at my daughter and have never been more proud in my life!

    Unprompted, she first did this...

Then wellied it down like this...

    To make this...

And then attempted to eat it...

I must be doing something right!

She wants to know... does this get her in the 'Manwiches' club?

That might have been ok without the baked beans.

Well the only salmon they can get there in LOS is farm raised Atlantic salmon so it is basically floor scraps to start with.

I to this day have never understood all the round meat like products here. Pork balls, Fish balls, Shrimp balls, Salmon balls. I think it must be because they can pick it up with a spoon easy. Crap is nasty.

Nothing better then a wild Coho or Silver Salmon.

I will not eat any other salmon. Wild caught by myself or Yukon, Kenai, copper river are all amazing salmon not to mention the local catch.

Columbia River in Washington state. Salmon run from the ocean. Chinook salmon outstanding. Fished it many times. Never caught a salmon ball.

My stomping grounds there but I usually will fish closer to home in the puget sound or on the Olympic peninsula.

Try Makro's Kings brand, they make both English Breakfast sausages and Cumberland sausages.
You'll find them together with bacon and hamburger patty etc in the frozen meat section.

Those cumberlands need to be cut in half, obviously - 3 go in the bread, and the fourth half is cut up and given to the dog...
