"Best foods in the world" -- which / how many of these 50 do you agree with?

World food: 50 best dishes | CNN Travel

(CNN) — "There is no love sincerer than the love of food," George Bernard Shaw said. Judging by the number of amazing dishes out there, he was right.
But which are the tastiest? Which are the best foods
Some of them are Thai dishes.
Many of them are difficult to disagree with.
Some of them I've never tried.
But some of them, what were they thinking?

Best foods in the world: There are some weird choices listed!

    Buttered popcorn?

I'll say which ones I like and don't like.

British crisps: Yes, I have grown to like them.

Fish and chips - it depends how they're cooked. Done right, I like it and love the chips. Done wrong, not so keen.

Som tam - again it depends, Tam Thai, prik song met with fresh ingredients, nice.

Buttered toast with Marmite? I never put butter on toast. Marmite by itself is OK.

Marzipan: Nice in a Christmas cake.

Hummous: nice with certain kinds of bread.

    Maple syrup: Yummy.

    Vietnamese spring rolls: Lovely.

Lasagna: nice if fresh and moist.

    Lobster: Yes, please.

    Corn on the cob: Like.

Ice-cream: depends on the brand and the flavour.

Tom yam goong: Nice if not too spicy.

    Hamburger: Sometimes.

Sushi: I'm having some for dinner right now.

Chocolate: Yeeeeessssss please. More please. Especially dark chocolate.

Neapolitan pizza: I prefer some ligh toppings

    Massaman curry: Yes.

You're missing out! But not buttered hot. Let it cool down to warm so the butter melts just a tad but still has soft visible lumps here and there. And the Vegemite has to be dabbed around, not spread evenly.

    Yep.
Not sure that massaman should be top of the list, although it's hard to suggest a replacement.

...This list is more CNN fake news: food preferences are entirely subjective...no mention of West African groundnut stew, for example, or Ethiopian doro wat, Jamaican goat curry, Iranian kuku sabzi. All, imo, delicious and deserving inclusion on the list...in place, perhaps, of ketchup, popcorn and (*gag*) marmite...

^ You just reminded me...Sri Lankan cashew curry could replace somatm quite easily.
Not fake news since it's an opinion piece, but you're right in that the list is of an unsophisticated opinion.

*sigh*... you hate being wrong. You should just accept it instead of being all queeny about it.

As silly and as inaccurate as your "heated denial" remark.

It sure seems to fit you.....too well.
    Swimming in textbook blinded convention.

Officialdom is the only stimuli that matters to the usual dumbed down and comfortably numb.

It's just click-bait same as 98% of everything on the internets.

    Massaman number 1??????

Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy a good massaman, but to call it the king of curries is way OTT, especially on a list that does not include even one Indian curry.

However, any list that does not include duck confit is clearly not worth the time it took to compile.....
