    Have to disagree there. Not sure about the OP one, but I make one that's simpler, cheaper, and absolutely delish.
    Same method as OP for the base except milk arrowroot bikkies (somehow having a high fibre dessert just doesn't sit well), and the filling is simply a tin of condensed milk and a drained tin of crushed pineapple. I daresay you could make your own fresh crushed pineapple. Add some lemon juice and the acid sets the milk so after a couple of hours in the fridge it's all go.

    Cake would normally contain more sugar or essence of sugar where a pie allows for condiments to be used as per the customers desire.
