Indeed rare combo great dish , clear instructions and photos, thank you may give it a whirl.I agree with the browned off finish and sometimes add a bit of grated cheddar when she's away. One of the great benefits of a Thai wife she doesn't nibble my cheese.

If anyone knows a good supply of minced Lamb in Lanna be interested, C rai best but could keep frozen from C mai.I prefer lamb although locals don't.I know it's not premium but the mid east is full of frozen lamb fron downunder but I never see it here, I guess there's no demand.

For those desperate for faux pie, not to this high standard minced pork with pepper and Lee and Perrins Worcester is readily availble even soy in emergency.

Makro CM used to sell frozen minced NZ lamb, maybe still does.

Why not just buy an appropriate animal?
Goat or sheep, they're all good.
    Feed it up then slaughter.

david44, you've plenty of space chez vous, get into a bit of animal husbandry. You'd be good at it, I'm sure.

Then you can make pies and feed the orphans in our area. There are plenty of them.

Come on mate make a difference. I can probably source a bouncy castle if you feed the need.

Finally, the last steps.... thanks for sticking with it and for the greens which were gratefully received.

You always need to take precautions in case of leakage

    Lets help with the browning

    and..... Voila

Don't know if Makro CM has but Makro Roiet does . Quite good. They also have minced beef. It's ok but too lean for my liking.

I just made an audible slurping sound and simultaneously licked my lips.

    Looks great- well done.

Recently got around to trying Mrs LT's cottage pie, zapped in the microwave- you'd be doing well to beat that for taste. Absolutely excellent, if I'd had that served to me in an English pub I'd be well pleased. No cheese though (not surprising for the price)- if you want that, add yourself & overbake. I didn't miss it at all.

Considering I'd also had the lasagna a couple of days earlier, shared with a mate- and we both gave it a big thumbs up, seems like the LT kitchen is humming along nicely.

Got some pie tastingss to add to the pie thread too, I'll get around to that when I've sampled a couple more- but so far, so good.

Having tried Mrs Loy Toys lasagne..... I am sure her cottage pie would knock mine into a cocked hat. Loy Toy knows that.

However I can't seem to find any picture threads....

^ This is a new revelation. I think you lot should post in LT's pie thread to restore his credibility on the forum.

Too busy slurping it up mate, to even think about food porn. Maybe LT can help you out.
