Thread: Corned silverside

Just turned the fire off and letting the poor bugger cool down.

I can't wait to try a slice...

^Now that looks like corned silverside. I have no idea why you'd be adding salt, as that's probably the main ingredient it's been injected with already, so they're salty enough straight out of the pack. Anyway the pic is what I've been waiting to see, will contact them and see if a delivery can be organised or else I'll get some next time in Bangas.

What i really appreciated is that the chunk of brisket stood up to razor thin slicing, right out of the pot. We took the remainder of the brisket and put in the fridge with a bit of it's pickling juices to keep things moist.

Yes, it's a shame they won't deliver. I'd put half a dozen in the freezer.
