    Rib, Rib, Rib Kings.

So every man on this planet loves ribs.

Let's see and hear how you do them.

I usually do them a few different ways.

Tonight it was just me, so was a small baby back from Villa, then with a dry rub (usual spices with brown sugar), grilled until it starts to bubble, then wrapped in foil and slow baked for 2.5 hours.

Basted in BBQ sauce and smidgen of honey, and grilled to burn.

Simple baguette and EVOO, baby corn and string bean sauted in soy sauce, icy cold beer.

Feel free to update as time progresses.

^^^ I think the original premise is floored.

Ribs have way too many bones which should have been removed by a woman long before they were served to a man.

^ Funny that, since early on, woman supposedly was created from man's rib...

^ nope women were created from a mans cock, or at least that was the delivery system, the whole rib thing is an ancient euphemism for wallet because they can't have life without it and you feel like you've had your innards ripped out once they've finnished rifling it.

Great looking ribs. We parboil them and then bake them in the oven with a special bbq sauce that my wife makes using practically everything in the cupboard.

If they ain't smoked I ain't eating 'em. Great American Rib Co. is pretty good again, but Smoking Pug is the bomb ! My rack had to be a meter long, tender but not falling off the bone, with a 1/4" smoke ring, and a nice bark. This was what I use to do often. Make a marinade out of half a dozen different sauces in the cupboard (BBQ, Chili, Worcestershire, Tomato, etc) + some crushed garlic and honey. Put it all in a zip-lock and leave it in the fridge for 2 days. Then seal it up tight in a tinfoil parcel and bake on low for about 4 hours. They take on the consistency of butter and always tasted great.

What I do now for a rib fix is to follow, will cook a few racks tomorrow. It still relies on oven baking but living in a condo, being able to get flames licking them on a BBQ like in the mouthwatering OP pics is not possible unfortunately...

Interesting to see the bourbon glazed ribs.

Usually I will rub on some rosemary, thyme, and rub in some bourbon.

Wrap in foil and slow bake for a few hours.

Then make up a honey and soy sauce marinade, s+p, baste it on and grill them.

Bourbon, honey and soy sauce ribs.

    Simple as anything.

Main Mistress Outside of BKK likes them.

Every man loves a rib, because the Moslem God created a woman out of one of Adams ribs. Proof, men have one less rib than women, proof the scriptures are true.
The Jewish bible backs this up.

So besides some bearded character doing tricks with ribs that would fool Penn and Teller...

This is the current go-to for a rib fix. They come in sealed bags and are already smoked, cooked, and have the perfect rib sauce in the bag. So all you have to do is heat them up, 20 mins in a low oven works fine.

These are from Hickory Meats in Pattaya which is a high-end butchery with prices that would have your average TV member clasping his chest till the defibrillator arrived. But they aren't too exxy, about 450 Baht a pack from memory and worth every penny. https://www.facebook.com/hickorybutcher/timeline

Out of the oven and onto a plate with a few sides, job done.

You see see the smoke has really gone through these guys, I have no idea about smoking meats but am very happy that they do!.

Here's the money-shot any rib lover wants to see, when the meat comes off the bone like this there's normally no complaints . Must take a few racks to a mates place with a BBQ some day, they would be awesome with some char.

^ I never claimed to have smoked those but they are a perfect example of real American BBQ. They are beef ribs with a Texas style dry rub smoked low and slow.

peel membrane off pork ribs, put in pot, cover with pineapple juice, bring to boil then simmer maybe 2 hours. remove ribs, season with whatever blows your hair back and put on bbq with a bit of bbq sauce to finish.
skim fat off and freeze what's left of pineapple juice for the next time you do this, or leave the fat in, it won't kill you.

i know this isn't the purist's way to do ribs, but i like it and the meat is obviously tender.
