In NZ met a few expats who were brewing their own beer and damn good it was too. Does anyone do it here in Thailand at all? If so where do you get the equipment and supplies from? Would like to give it a try as fed up with rubbish Thai 'beer'

Dunno about getting malt and hops except from a specialist farang food supplier.
Can you get any Cooper's brew kits (about NZ $18) sent over?
The last brew I put down a few months ago in NZ cost me NZ $20 all up including the sugar, for 22 litres of stout at 7% alcohol.
A damned good drop too!
There have been a couple of good home-brewing threads started on TD.
yeah I will look into getting some sent from NZ i think
The problem is getting malted barley.
Go visit the homebrew thailand forum, a guy there sells everything needed and as a group they import pallets of malted barley from india.
Fairly sure I was some Coopers kits in Foodland in Patts.
If you see it again let us know, address etc. Thanks.
There is a thai web shop; brew-by-me.com that sells equipment, kits, malt extract, grains, hops and yest.
I just had a look at the sites mentioned above - bloody great news they are!
