    Chicken Curry Recipe

    How To Cook Chicken Curry

    Ingredients

    1 kilo chicken pieces
    1 tablespoon oil
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 onion, chopped
    2 sticks celery, sliced
    1 cooking apple, chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 tomato, skinned and sliced
    1 green capsicum, chopped
    1 tablespoon curry powder
    1 tablespoon flour
    One-and-a-half cup chicken stock

    Recipe

    1) Preheat large browning dish in microwave oven on High for five minutes.
    2) Place the chicken pieces with oil into dish and cook on high for six
    minutes. Turn over once during cooking.
    3) Remove chicken pieces and set aside. Wipe the browning dish clean.
    4) Place butter into dish with onion, celery, apple, garlic, tomato and
    capsicum and cook on High for three minutes.
    5) Return chicken pieces to dish. Blend curry powder and flour with a small
    quantity of stock. Add to chicken with the remaining stock.
    6) Cover and cook on High for twenty minutes. Stir occasionally during
    cooking.

    Serves 4
    Preperation Time 45 Minutes

    I call it Saag Gusht as well but just googled it and both ways say the same thing.

    1 t-spoon cumin seeds & little HING
    2 t-spoon Besan
    Tomato paste (use two tomatoes)

    Sag Gosht (Lamb with Spinach) Recipe

    How to make Sag Gosht (Lamb with Spinach)

    Ingredients:

    4 - 6 servings
    50 g (2 oz) 4 Tbs Ghee or clarified butter
    1 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
    2 Garlic cloves, crushed
    2 tsp Cardamom seeds, crushed
    1 Tbs Ground coriander
    piece Fresh root ginger, peeled 4 cm (1 1/2 in) and chopped
    1 kg (2 lb) Lean boned lamb, cubed
    1 Medium onion, chopped
    3 Green chillis, chopped
    1 tsp Sugar
    1 tsp Turmeric
    1 kg (2 lb) Spinach, trimmed, washed and chopped
    1 1/2 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp Black pepper
    3 Tbs Yogurt

    Directions:
    1. Melt the ghee or butter in a casserole pan. Add the mustard seeds and cover.
    2. Fry until the seeds begin to pop. Stir in the garlic, cardamom, coriander and ginger and fry for i minute, stirring constantly. Add the lamb cubes and fry until they are evenly browned.
    3. Stir in the onion, chillis and sugar and fry until the onion is golden brown. Stir in the turmeric and spinach and cook for 3 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and tender and the spinach is smooth and soft. Uncover and stir well.
    4. Preheat the oven to cool 150‚°C (Gas Mark 2, 300‚°F). Put the casserole pan into the oven and cook for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve at once.
