looks nice, but i always thought thai food was spicy and she didnt add one chilli or chilli paste to it. and as for adding the salt to the pineapple, gaa!!!
when i was in Philippines last year, i bought some chopped pineapple with a girl. she only added salt to it. never tasted something so awful in my life. i just had to spit it out
pineapple in a savoury dish is a no no for me!
I like the little pinapple you get from the roadside vendors
Sugar and chilli on sour mango, salt on sweet pineapple, thats pretty normal here.
Yep that's ok and i like it, never tried salt on pineapple and can't see me doing so.Originally Posted by dirtydog
each to their own, i like pineapple but not in rice or on a pizza!
I remember when I first bought a bag of steamed peanuts, you know the ones still in the shell, after putting the first one in my mouth and spitting it out I threw the bag away, didn't realise that was how they were meant to be, quite like them now

Putting pineapple on a pizza should carry a jail term.

How to make Som Tam Lao
I just put this video together yesterday. If it seems like a commercial, please remove it.
well i do like the bags of unripe mango sold with chilli. i find that great to munch onto. great for those long bus rides
but something sweet to make it bitter sour. i'm sure she be more happy with some mayom
i know what you mean with pineapple on pizza. and i forgot all about this, even when i saw the recipe for thai fried rice with pineapple, and that is pineapple with gammon steak. awk god, how awful. i always ate the gammon when i was a kid
anyhow, here's what my Thai fried rice with pineapple looked like. i saw a few different recipes on the net. i wanted one which has chilli, so this is mine.
it was great to be honest. really great to have something different too
here's the list:-
and some ham and sweetcorn added as the other website had this and hardly any of the above

- 4 cups cooked rice, preferably at least 1 day old
- 4 Tbsp oil for stir-frying
