    Crispy Pork Belly Recipe

    Got a great new recipe for you guys to try out, however i am starting to wonder if i am the only one posting new threads here.....

    Anyway here it is:

    Crispy Pork Belly, Roasted Cauliflower Puree, Garlic Fondants, Pickled Cauliflower, Ribbons and Butter Glazed Asparagus, Fresh Orange and a Cider Jus.

    ^ Braver than I! Just the size of that piece of pork needing to be butchered scares me away. The nipples had to be removed. Don’t even think that cut is sold in the US.

    I had a butcher selling me cuts like that in a Indonesia for about $20... but sans nipples and ribs. Not sure about here, but will look.

    A pork belly here has no ribs or nipples. It’s just that square piece of fat with the meat streak.

    The ribs (and nipples) are not a necessity, the ribs do however add flavour as well as thickening the sauce (the collagen is converted to gelatine during the long, moist method of cooking. This is the cut that you get streaky bacon from, your butcher could certainly do this for you and as a bonus, its very cheap
