Wow, I have never used a rice cooker for egg fried rice or pilau/pilaff. I would love to hear your technique. Does it work well?
My wife cooks the rice. If I even tried to cook rice, she'd probably cut me.
Maybe not advisable to attempt the recipes then... maybe you could try and take up dress making, im sure the wife would appreciate that
Again, please tell me your process for them
You only need three things. Rice, water and a Thai wife.
Best rice every time!!
The Mrs has brown rice on the stove right now, for whatever reasons she cooks her white rice in the rice-cooker but always does her brown rice in a pot on the stove. She uses Martha Stewart's method, comes out perfectly every time.
Master Recipe: Brown Rice | Martha Stewart
teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
What a fine idea!!!!! Thanks for your inspiration, I'm going to buy a sewing machine today!
Thanks, Chef Douche! Instead of spending countless hours looking at the trillions of youtube videos detailing the intricate steps in making rice, I'll devote myself to watching dressmaking vids!
usually "wash" the rice a couple of times, put finger on top of rice and water is about right when two thirds of the way to the first finger joint.
I don't like his way of washing all the starch out. I WANT my rice to be a little sticky.
^ Agreed, I like jasmine rice to be sticky enough to put in a bowl and turn upside down onto plate. Has to be one year old rice according to Mrs Troy.
